Grand Real Estate Projects Co. of Kuwait signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordanian government with the blessings of His Majesty King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to discuss the possibilities to establish, operate and invest a commercial center in the heart of Jordanian Capital Amman at the cost of US Dollar 250 Million on an area of 20 thousands square meters, it comprises a shopping mall, a tower for major international hotels and a second tower for the offices and branches of international companies.

again, I think the design is a little "global" and not related to amman. if it was totally modern
like the "gates" towers it would be better.

I disagree with you here as those towers do not require certain city features. The design is global as you said and fit any city. Bonyan towers are the ones which are out of place

Jayme im pretty sure they have started because its meant to be finished at the end of 2008 or the start of 2009

Not sure about the progress of this project, or if it has been cancelled. I havent heard anything about in some time.

But I did find this website:

The website does not provide much information, but does show the building from many different angles and the floor plans.

Would be very disapointing if it was cancelled, looks great and is a very nice design.
