In terms of looks - Bank of China (HK) for me. If Shanghai WFC had been built according to original design it would have been my favourite but oh well.

The original design of SWFC is my favourite too.
I think if those people don't really trust the Japanese architects, their should come out with a better design by Chinese architects instead of changing it to a artistically ugly shape.
Not to be offensive but I just don't understand why relying so much on Japanese architects when there's a lack of trust

At least, the designer of 101 is Chinese though...
Although it doesn't look so stunning except for its height....

There is no sophistication like Manila! Forget those in Bangkok, HK, Jakarta or anywhere else, when you can have an array of skylines waitng for you to see.

i vote for bank of china tower which is one of the most beautiful skyscrapers in the entire world:okay:

the best skyline is honk kong currently but dubai will be the best ever several years later.

the truth is no single SEA skyscraper except the Patronas Tower could ever compete with those in Hongkong and China!.......for the time being

those in China is just....whooow

HK,Shanghai, Tokyo have the most impressive skyline in Asia...Seoul is good but not as good as the other three....other Chinese big cities are pretty awesome as well...i just forgot the name but they all are stunning

but i doubted on what u had mentioned...sure Jakarta is big but when talking abt skyline.....Singapore and Bangkok are the two big competitors as well

Bangkok is currently ranked higher than Jakarta and Singapore in terms of the number of highrises.....but looking at density and formation...sure SG has done a better job!

moreover, we could not look over cities like KL and Manila as well....remember KL is the place where Petronas is located and Manila is growing real fast

so......Jakarta wouldn't stand a chance being the best in SEA............for now okey!!! Jakarta got a lot of potential...........but it's not the time man!!

I'm not sure how high the skybridge is. But I would personally still prefer the SkyPark at MBS, it is bigger so you can move around freely, unblocked and with 360 degrees view of the city with a few levels and thousands of people at any time in the day. There is an infinity sky pool, celebrity chef restaurants, clubs, etc. But the one at Petronas Towers is great too. I would definitely visit when I go KL.

Yeah, it has got to be fantastic with a fantastic view! After all, it is the world's most expensive hotel, with world's most expensive standalone casino property, costing 3.8 times more than Burj Khalifa (according to sources). :cheers:

Except the helipad, I think there are many diffenrents between 2 towers. Bitexco financial tower has more curved surface than Telecom tower in KL .But both of them're beautiful :)

in SEA...surely it's the Petronas, however Marina Bay Sands is on par though..as well as the Bakrie Tower, GT international, and Bitexco Tower,.....in the near future after Mahanakorn is completed...it will be added in the list for sure

Question, just my curioisity...when talking about Bangkok, what skyscraper do u guys think it's the best in the city? since comparing with other SEA nations, our skyscrapers are not really well recognized :D

Baiyoke Tower, because it's unique in it's own way, and very tall, and it has a cute name :)

Just a curiosity, guys. How come you know other skyscrapers in BKK other than the Bai Yok II quite well? I mean we Thai bloggers really don't post that many pics of them in the inter forum. And to be honest, most 200+ m. buildings in BKK are not that sexy in terms of the design (with the exception of a few like the River, All Seasons Place, Central Embassy, etc that I like). So we don't have much to show off here, unlike some of those very nice stylish buildings in other SEA cities which is why I'm not so surprised many bloggers here know them.

So it comes as a lil strange that you know projects like the Sathorn Square, the River, etc. as well since as far as I know, none of us Thais has posted pics of them here (although they are kinda nice too).

Did you guys secretly check our forum? :D

I'm not sure what is the minimum height required to be classified a skyscraper though. But I like this one, the 40-floor Central Embassy project. Although there are other projects in BKK and elsewhere with more spectacular heights, this one with its reflective aluminium tiles, LED lights and glassy looking is just sexy in its design to me :)

^^ damn that building! if i have super power i would hoist that building up and throw it all the way to makati. i love buildings that are dark and have intricate cladding design. bakrie has that irregular shape which i like and the height is quite good too.

in makati, i love ayala tower1 for the cladding.

well the height is not so much of a downer what i want for ayala tower1 is to have a few more glassy towers in close proximity to each other like the marina bay financial center in singapore.
