Reminds me of The Fast and the Furious, with the night lights, the low-rise buildings reminiscent of LA, the container trucks, and of course those cars. Even the road itself looks like a good place to race! :banana: Cebu should be our LA.

Nugon, they closed up the stairs to the cross so we didn't have an unobstructed view of the whole city, no panorama shots :( Will go back again to take better a better sunset shot, it was very cloudy and a bit misty the time we went there.

Nami2x sang fireworks during the New Year Countdown. Tani sa Iloilo River na lang saylo ang fireworks competition during Dinagyang, can't get enough of it. Props to Scorpion Fireworks Iloilo ... the fireworks display was much better than the ones they did for past the Dinagyang seasons.

I was just about to post a lengthy comment but I decided not to because I know it's not going to change anything.

Some forumers here (I have a mental note of them) will always resort to personal attacks if someone posts anything they remotely dislike. But I have to declare that you are wrong in assuming that I (or anyone for that matter, even you) should be "ready" for personal attacks because that is just not right. Osmena Blvd (Jones), Escario St, V. Rama Ave, N. Bacalso Ave (Cebu South Road) & P del Rosario St, are already LED-lighted. Cebu City is set to replace all of the 20,000 hi-pressure sodium street lights it operates but the major thoroughfares are the first priority. Once the program is done, expect the city to have a different glow at night.. :cheers:

For me, jumbo tarps make places look cheap. Sorry, I'm still a fan of neon lights of the past or LED screens of the future. That's why, as much as possible, no tarp covering or obstructing the view of a building.

^^ As much as I hate those big tarpaulins in the intersection of Metro Colon. Gawd how odd looking. But then I guess what would you expect? This is the PHILIPPINES. We've not boomed yet to a point where we can afford those big fancy stuff they use in Times Square. Not even Metro Manila perhaps. Not for now. But I've got good prospects about the future. ;)

^^ We had those neon lights before. I guess we can afford LED screens too. Yet I guess this is the trend here in the country. I just hope that big tarps won't cover too much of the building.
