^ I think that shot is the best you could have for the First Mandaue-Mactan Bridge. I believe that was shot from any of the vacant lots adjacent to Menzi and Transco ;)

Great stunning night shots of Iloilo City from Benie.

In its Own Time...
It has been difficult getting night shots for Iloilo. Chymera and I have to ask permission to authorities (Capitol and Days Hotel) to get this shot. The difficulty was rewarding.

These shots were took at around 6PM to 7PM at the Capitol Rooftop and the Atrium Rooftop.

Many thanks to Provincial Tourism Officer Bombette Marin and General Manager Scott Sarria for accommodating us.

Kasi bro puro buildings lang naman sa Makati. Then posh villages yung nsa tabi ng CBD. Other baranggays are just like the usual baranggays in the metro. No one says Makati City as a whole is stunning, just the CBD i guess :D You wouldn't expect much. :)

Be happy your blessed with a beautiful island, clean beaches & rivers, wide avenues, etc. Please don't compare man. (but did i just compare? :lol: ) Both are beautiful places but they are very different.

The good thing is, Makati and Cebu are both in the Philippines so we should be proud of these beautiful places. ' hope you get what I mean. :)

I have seen so many CvC in several forums and all i can say is that, it does not result to our advantage.

Every place has it's own good and bad side, but only one thing I am happy about. Am happy that cities in provinces outside the capital are now starting to grow...that at least we got our own share of developments.

I am a Cebuano, and though I am so proud and excited of the growth of Cebu, I can not deny that there are other cities that are better than Cebu in some other aspect.

Please don't trigger a war... :)

Actually, she was sophisticated in the late 1800's until World War II. From being of a royalty loyal to Spain and later to the booming sugar industry, she declined after war into a lowly commoner...to the point of being abandoned by her sons and daughters and undermined.

At least, now the city is catching up. There is still a lot of heritage buildings that was left of the past to remind the present Ilonggo of its glorious past and lessons learned from its bitter fall.

That's how old time Ilonggos see Iloilo City. Like a telenovela. :D

And we're kinda devoid from highrises except for the belfries of Jaro and Molo.

The distinct center rainbow is simultaneously overtaken by rain cloud moving out to sea from Cayagan De Oro and sunset colour in the eastern sky, drowning its prism in a red light. No doubt a very rare occurance. Camiguin island is just out of frame left, the mountains of Bukidnon directly ahead.

the view in Talavera House of Prayer in Basak also gives a very good view of the city. Kita pa kau ang SRP tungod sa viewing deck kinababwan sa building..wala lng ko ka take up pic kay bawal ang phone/digicam pag recollection...hehehe
