Other areas of the country have their respective sub-forums, do you think an East and South Midlands Subforum is necessary? It could include news from Leicester/Nottingham/Derby as well as towns such as Corby/Kettering/Wellingborough/Northampton, which are experiencing huge growth and regeneration.

I hope Newcastle and the North East get a sub forum one day...

Its been talked about before, but I don't think theres enough activity in the cities to justify it quite yet. Once the new towers start going up in Leicester I think we'll have a reason to get one up.

Yes, we do deserve out own subforum. The developments in Nottm are pretty much like Sheffield, altough they have their own subforum.

143 posts in almost a year for nottingham... not enough posters.

There is def enough going on in Leicester (by way of tall buildings) and Nottingham (some of the biggest regeneration and infrastructure projects in the country) to justify a subforum but what gothic says about the lack of Nottm forumers is true. Though he will also know that it was only in July/August that Insignia stopped creating a new Nottm thread every week and posts began to concentrate on the current "Nottingham Projects" thread.

The Newcastle thread has gotten about 850 posts in 1 year, is that enough lol?

No really I don't think we have enough development to warrant one yet.

you need posters as well as activity. as someone who lives int he east midlands himself i dont think we have enough posters, let alone activity.

yeah... but even add everything together its less than one thousand posts! maybe new projects will bring in visitors over time but right now there just isnt the justification. one day i hope we can speaking as a local.

I don't think there are enough posters either at this moment in time...but a new sub-forum might help push that along....

When the Sheffield Metro Area subforum was born, the number of posts increased. Whilst it is perhaps a bit premature, at leat one isn't being ruled out.

Just to prove that regeneration isn't just confined to the cities, take a look here... http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?p=10351553#post10351553
