The project will be 11,339 m2 land and 157,800m2 construction area -including 35,000 m2 shopping mall.

Living with nature and green will be possible without leaving the city center after Sapphire İstanbul project results.

It is designed by Tabanlıoğlu Architecture, high-tech, and consists of 64 floors (54 on surface 10 underground), communal living floors, carpark, shopping malls, and 47 floors for residences.

There will be specialized floors which have private gardens each 3 floors, and every 9 floors are separated from each other by an communal living area or mechanical floors. Design of the gardens are proposed with few alternatives and the consistency of garden maintenance is under residence management company’s responsibility.

Sapphire Istanbul is the very first ecological building of Turkey whose two special glass shells can take the outside air naturally by holes located at every 3 floor. This provides that residence inhabitants will not affected negative weather conditions and voice in addition to being a buffer outside atmosphere and internal facilities. Absorption of the sunlight and ultraviolet gleams will be ensured by a special curtain system automatically controlled depending on seasons, day hour.

Who is making problems? I just wanted to learn if it's going to look weird from outside that's all.

By the way I didn't know Commerzbank, which is the most stunning skyscraper in Europe, has some gardens inside. Let's see whose garden will beat.;)

commerzbank has 10 gardens (each 4 storeys high) - but you can only see them properly in the evening/at night, when the building is lit up, so I guess you will also see the gardens of sapphire only when the building is lit up.

Nice tower. The curved glass section at the bottom makes the tower look so much more interesting. I'll be looking forward to seeing this tower completed.
I like the idea of gardens in the sky.
The garden bit though could act like a giant greenhouse if it's not properly ventilated.

Excellent updates, but still perhaps progress is a little slow?

2 floors in around 1 1/2 months isnt really that much!

These are the first skyscrapers above 200 meters (Sapphire, Diamond of Istanbul, etc.) built entirely and alone by Turkish construction companies with no foreign participation.
They have lacked structural experience for such tall towers thus far and are gaining it now as they build. Besides, the task is additionally complicated by the complex architectural nature of both projects, especially the Diamond of Istanbul.
For Sapphire, the most complex task is the first 10 floors where the curved wings adjoin the core tower from both sides; after that the pace of construction should pick up.
Besides, Sapphire is the first building in Turkey with the double-facade all along its 233-meters height. (Gardens all along when completed).
You don't want to rush when you build something as complex.

This baby is becoming tall :)

Yeah, but a brother is already planned :D
But no informations if it will be hight
IMO it will be higher, because the investor earned a lot of many from this project
Apartmenst prizes: 10.000 $-US/m²

BTW, current height mus be around 99.5m now

Getting quite tall now. Once it is finished it should be seen from everywhere in Istanbul, especially given the fact that the Levent CBD is located on top of a hill.
