I think we had this render before but didn't know the tower's name... Anyhow it looks really great and at 56 floors pretty tall too!

Actually this project has been pending for a long time, but now, the tower has been completely redesigned, and for the better, for the much better : ) It used to be a tacky 28F, now it's the double, 56F, lol, and with a great design! It has something of this tower is Abu Dhabi whose I forgot name : ) And yes Halawala the owner is the lawyer you are talking about! Anyways cool news!

I just checked, it's called ADIA Tower (for Abu Dhabi Investment Authority), and it's only 40 floors...imagine the same design in Doha for 16 floors more!:banana:

Not at all. There is no one crane at the construction site though excavation looks that it took place but work is just pending.

Are you sure this tower will go ahead? Since IQ Tower is supposed to be right next, and is a monster, I doubt there is space for this one...

It is renamed now into Al Jassimiya. 47 floors. The new design is completely different and I doubt it is now by the same owners as before. They said in a newsletter during Qrex 2010, that design is complete and construction will commence soon. We don't have except to believe the news.
I had a photo of the new fencing, I will post it later.

But Al Muhanna Tower is actually a differnent plot than Jassimiyah, no? Al-Muhanna is located next to the old Qatar Exhibition Center and the Jassmiyah is located next to Tornado Tower.

You might be correct Halawala, I probably didn't read my map well. But will double check.
