There should be more impressive development in Oslo, the downtown area seems a bit small compared to other major cities. But all in all, I still like Oslo, the scenery of Oslo is fascinating.

But Bjørvika isn't downtown, its a harbour. And it has a perfect location to become apart of the downtown district if they manage to built something there, but as of now it might take another 10-20 years!

But the downtown(or "Sentrum") is quite small and compact, with an area of only 1.8sqkm. I think however that many will agree with me that big areas outside this area has a downtown-like character, like Majorstua and Grünerløkka for example.
