Si tash, besoj se ka shume projekte qe jan ndertu pa leje, por komuna/shteti nuk bon sen, kohev te fundit disa projekte qe u rrenohen ndoshta e bejne vetem 5% e atyre qe jan ndertuar.

Great news indeed. I always wondered how it would be possible to put a glass facade on that building. It seems like those blocks of cement are removable and thus making it possible.

Will it be renovated based on the old render?

^^ we cant know for sure since we havent seen any new renders... It would have been great if someone from Prishtina could go check out the construction site and take some photos..probably there is a billboard with a render on it in front of the site...

But, i strongly doubt rilindja will be renovated based on the old render...since all participating companies in a tender, compete with their own independent projects/proposals, hence also the difference in cost

i just hope that they don't ruin this building with this renovating, Just like other appartament buildings.

Pas miratimit nga ana e qeverisë të planit rezidencial për akomodimin e institucioneve shtetërore nga objektet private në objekte publike, MSHP është duke vazhduar me dinamikën e punimeve që deri në fund të viti të realizohet kjo objektivë. Ministri i Shërbimeve Publike, Arsim Bajrami, tha se Projekti “ Rinovimi i Pallatit të Mediave”, është në fazën e dytë të implementimit dhe pritet që të përfundojë brenda 12 muajve.

“Ky pallat do të jetë një shtëpi e Qeverisë së Kosovës. Këtu do të vendosen rreth 1 mijë zyrtarë, do të vendosim një numër të ministrive, do të punohet me standarde më të larta evropiane, do të funksionojë teknologjia informative, dhe do të krijojmë kushte komode për punë”, tha Bajrami.

Ministri Bajrami tha se ende nuk është vendos se cilat ministri do të vendosen në këtë pallat, sidoqoftë ky është hap i mirë për të punuar në kushte më të mira që do të sjell reformim të administratës dhe transparencë.

Tenderin për rinovimin e pallatit të mediave e ka fituar Firma “ Mabetex”, në vlerë rreth 15 milion euro.Drejtori i “ Mabeteksit”, Islam Pacolli, falënderoi Qeverinë që ia ka besuar ndërtimin e këtij objekti, për të cilin tha se do të jetë krenaria e Kosovës, i ndërtuar me standardet ndërkombëtare.

Pjesë e këtij Pallati, u tha se do të jetë edhe një amfiteatër modern, reprezentativ, në të cilin qeveria do të zhvillojë aktivitete të ndryshme qeveritare. Me këtë rast, ministri Arsim Bajrami iu premtoi punëtoreve të gazetës “ Rilindja” se do të jenë pjesë e këtij pallati dhe se qeveria do të ndihmojë daljen e gazetës.

Vendosja e ministrive në Pallatin e Mediave është e përkohshme, derisa të përfundojë Kompleksi qeveritar me 2015.

i really like the see-through glass....and it doesnt compromise its old look alot.

Because they're idiots. Just like they changed the name of Boro dhe Ramizi to "Pallati i Rinise dhe Sporteve." I mean, we need to keep some historical names/places. There is absolutely no need to change the name at all, especially given that Rilindja was so instrumental in the advancement of culture and intellectuality among our population. It wasn't simply the newspaper, it was also the printing house that printed, during the 70s and 80s more books and valuable documents in Albanian than one can imagine.

It isn't taking any buildings that don't belong to it already. Both the old BanKos and the Rilindja buildings are government-owned buildings. It's merely re-directing their use. Actually, both UNMIK and EULEX have taken some really good buildings and they don't even pay rent for them. UNMIK in particular is bad about this; they haven't paid any rent whatsoever on using the huge ex-army complex of buildings smack-down in downtown Prishtina, nor have they ever paid any rent on using the parking lot close to Rilindja (that is one crazy big parking lot). They haven't paid a dime for using their so-called logistical base just outside of the city itself on the road to Fushe Kosove.

A more worthless, corrupt, pathetic little fucking mission I have never seen in my life.

norma të lejueshme dhe gjithashtu
cilësia ka dalë e mirë, kështu që
përfundimi ka mbetur të shikohet
se mos prishja ka ndodhur pasi që
ato janë shtruar pa fuga në mesin
e tyre. Janë këto dy dyshime që Komuna
thotë se do t'i sqarojë.
Prandaj, para se në pranverë të
bëhet ndërrimi i të gjitha pllakave
të dëmtuara, Komuna merr vendimin
që të bëjë dhe një provë përfundimtare
shkaku i fugave.
Skënder Krasniqit, punonjës në
kompaninë "Granit-Mermer", në
Prishtinë tha: "Në ambiente të
jashtme assesi nuk guxon të vendosen
pllakat pa fuga, pasi që nga
fërkimi me njëra-tjetrën, shkaktohet
prishja e pllakave", u shpreh
Krasniqi.
Në anën tjetër, në lidhje me këtë
çështje përfaqësuesit e kompanisë
"Paradiso", deri tani vonë e kanë
hedhur fajin te Komuna.

it will give a greater dynamism to that area. hopefully they'll invest in some greenery around too.

there are some greenery/parks planned for the area... But only in the "border" between Lakrishte and Arberia... Otherwise, the nearby areas next to Rilindja are planned to be very dense..

Anyway, this project will make the area fit in better with the ENK Complex.. :cheers2:

i really like how they have covered the whole building (or maybe just this front side?) with that sheet, illustrating the end-result... the downside of it, being we cant see the works progressing though...

Yeah, I like it too. Better than that "Birre e Pejes" thing that used to be there. Such an eye sore... I think this building will turn out pretty good in the end, giving the surrounding area a better look. If they could just renovate the apartments around it too, and then the old Boro & Ramizi... it would help a lot.

So I assume the hotel will be a Sheraton franchise as they said in that news article last week...

I didnt take the investor seriously last week to be honest, when he promised renovation works to start very soon - since he has said the same for many years now... It was his last chance though, if he had delayed this 20 million euro investment any further, he would have breached the privatisation contract and lost the hotel...

I hope the new design will be interesting..

Kryetari i Komunës së Prishtinës, Isa Mustafa dhe ministri i MASHT-it, Enver Hoxhaj, të shtunën më 15 nëntor, do të marrin pjesë në fillimit e ndërtimit të tri gjimnazeve në qytetin e Prishtinës.

Në orën 12.00 do të filloj ndërtimi i gjimnazit “Xhevdet Doda”, (në afërsi të objektit të doganës), lagja “Lakërishte”.

Në orën 12.30, fillon ndërtimi i objektit të gjimnazit tjetër (në afërsi të shkollës së mesme ekonomike).

Kurse, në orën 13.00 do të inaugurohet fillimi i punimeve për ndërtimin e objektit të Gjimnazit të Përgjithshëm, (në afërsi të “Fushës së Pajtimit”, në dalje të qytetit, drejtimi për në fshatin Makovc).

Në Prishtinë fillon ndërtimi i katër objekteve të reja shkollore


Në Prishtinës sot janë vënë gurë-themelet e objektit të gjimnazit “Xhevdet Doda”, në afërsi të Doganës së Kosovës, gjimnazit tjetër në afërsi të shkollës së mesme ekonomike, gjimnazit në Fushën e Pajtimit, si dhe të shkollës fillore në fshatin Bardhosh. Për ndërtimin e këtyre objekteve MASHT-i dhe komuna e Prishtinës ndanë 6 milionë euro, ndërsa ato do të jenë të gatshme për të pranuar nxënësit në vitin shkollor 2009-2010.
Më në fund, pas 6 vjetësh, nxënësit e gjimnazit “Xhevdet Doda”, të Prishtinës do ta kenë objektin e ri shkollor, pas rrënimit të objektit të vjetër në qendër të Prishtinës për nevoja të ndërtimit të Katedrales.
Duke vënë gurin themeltar, zëvendëskryeministri Hajredin Kuçi, tha se është i bindur se ky gjimnaz do ta kthejë reputacionin e vet, si një ndër gjimnazet më të suksesshme të Kosovës.
Ndërsa, kryetari i Prishtinës, Isa Mustafa, tha se vetëm për ndërtimin e gjimnazit “Xhevdet Doda”, që do të shtrihet në një hapësirë prej 40 ari, janë ndarë 1 milion e 500 mijë euro.

Tre gjimnaze në Prishtinë dhe një shkollë fillore në fshatin Bardhosh do t’i pranojnë nxënësit në vitin e ardhshëm shkollor.

10 November 2008 Sarah Wischman peeks inside the fantastical-looking building that is home to Kosovo`s literary treasures.

Gnomes, wizards and other magical beings come to my mind when passing the strange construction in the park beside Sunny Hill. With its gloomy but majestic exterior, enclosed in a dark metal grid and topped by 99 white domes, the National and University Library of Kosovo is an eye-catcher.

From the outside, I can’t help but think of it as a sort of prison in which mystical creatures wander around. But entering the library shows me otherwise. Walking up the stairs at the entrance, a round, light space paved with marble welcomes visitors and one immediately feels that this is a place that radiates knowledge and wisdom. On weekdays, when students swarm into the building and populate the stairs and benches outside, it is a lively place, too.

The library was designed by the Croatian architect Andrija Mutnjakovic and inaugurated in 1982. The design has a rational explanation, says Sali Bashota, the director of the library, pulling me out of my fantasy world. The white glass cupolas let in the maximum amount of natural light while the metal grid covering the building deflects the sunlight, to protect the books.

Moreover, the white domes symbolize the plis, the traditional Albanian hat, thus combining the practical effect of supplying natural light with a celebration of historical values.

Entering Bashota’s office, an old book in a glass showcase attracts my attention. It is one of the treasures of the library, he explains, written by Marin Barleti in 1533. Other treasures are kept underground and see daylight only when readers request them. The National and University Library of Kosova is home to around 2 million books, periodicals and newspapers, Bashota says. They are not only in Albanian but also in Serbian, English, French, German and Arabic. Membership is open to everyone.

One person in the library ensures these historical writings never fade away. That is Bedrije Mekolli, who works to preserve old books and manuscripts. Right now she is working on two texts, one written in 1910 and the other in 1927. Her laboratory in the library seems to embody the very essence of old books, partly as a result of the smell of countless pages, and partly from the photographs of old books displayed all around the room. Perhaps it also has something to do with the charisma of a person who has touched so much history with her own hands.

There are two procedures to follow when restoring a book, she explains, depending on its condition. If it is just dusty, she carefully cleans it with a brush.

However, if the book is dirty or damaged she has to take it apart and clean it page by page, leaving it in a solution of decarbonated calcium to dissolve the dirt. Afterwards, the pages must be allowed to dry before she can put the book back together. The oldest book she has restored was a Latin work dating from the 16th century.

Visitors to the library can request every book that the library possesses, although, depending on how old and precious it is, they may have to read it under the supervision of library staff. Books cannot be taken from the library, but with 16,500 square metres on six floors, there is plenty of space to read inside. It is worth taking a peek, even if it is only to feel the magic of the country’s literary treasures.

Those appartments look nice, but a bit of a misrepresentation. That road, for example, doesn't even exist at this point. I'm not sure if there are even plans for a road where they're building them. Otherwise, great!

even though there arent any roads like that right now in Arberia - its because that area has been almost untouched until recently..there will be a road there, since it is in the render... They can't build a complex like that in the middle of nowhere... Entire Arberia area will be transformed during the next few years ahead, and yes there is a regulation plan for that :)

Well, hopefully they do :) I'm of the opinion that Prishtina should expand that way too. There is a lot of room around the area, and I'm glad buildings are being built there.

3.5 milionë euro nga të hyrat e tatimit në pronë

I agree... it looks like a regular appartment building, similar to many others in Prishtina... The only difference being it has 23 floors instead of 5-8..

Në anën jug-përendimore kufizohet me bllokun tjetër urbanistik të Arbërisë. Çdo lloj ndërtimi dhe etazhiteti në lokacionin e propozuar nuk do të ketë ndonjë efekt negativ në rrethinën e lokacionit. Lokacioni ka qasje prej rrugës kryesore K1 si dhe prej rrugëve sekondare K2 dhe K3. Të gjitha këto rrugë dhe infrastruktura janë në fazën e projektimit dhe ende nuk ka filluar ndërtimi i tyre.

that building is not tall im must say.. its that one yellow wit red n white building next to the ministry of arts thats being built it does look taller then it actually is

Is it possible for you to post some of the projects here?

The only problem I have with this latest building is that it's too close to the street. The street there is very narrow and it's already jammed; as the economy develops, people start buying more cars. To have no chance of expansion whatsoever is a bad thing. Though I should be fair and mention that there was no chance of expansion to beging with. This one's just adding to the row of high-story buildings there. Great look though! :)

me too my friend,it really bothers mee alot :bash: i think it is another politic church same as that in university gorund :ohno: but these one is builded by PseudoAlbanians but they have same context.

yea while i was in prishtina this year i heard those orange apartments are sinking in the ground and the walls are ckracking i dident belive it but i found out that its true noone is buys them and plus i heard their expensive. ugly color its and arabian investor and the brick buildings arnt bad looking at all, slovanian investor.

im loveing the fact that two of prishtinas most known buildings are being re-modled rilindja and grand hotel i think these two are going two have downtown looking more modern plus the parliament building and i also hope that constructions will start soon on that Office & residential highrise in "Tophane and if pacolli demolishes hotel iliria and hopefully gets sumthing going with that project he has put out prishtina will b a world class city.

I just don't understand how there is room for such a big project in hotel iliria's plot.. I'm guessing other buildings around it has to be demolished as well, if that project is going to be realised there...

There is no room there. He'd be a fool to try to build something like that right next to the National Theater.

add to that, the fact that the international competition for the new urban plan/profile for that area ("Qendra") hasn't even yet started...

I doubt the location for that project is planned to be built at the plot of hotel "ilira"... it doesn't make sense at all...

Punimet për zgjerimin e rrugës “Bill Klinton” edhe këtë vit nuk do të nisin. Zgjerimi i kësaj rruge është një punë mjaft e madhe për kryeqytetin. Do të ketë një qarkullim më të lehtë për udhëtarët. Ky projekt është i mirëpritur nga qytetarët. Në vitin 2009 do të fillojë realizimi i projektit për zgjerimin e kësaj rruge, e cila do t’i kushtojë komunës 500 mijë euro. Kjo rrugë do të ketë një pamje tjetër, do të lirohet nga uzurpimet në të dyja anët, thonë në komunë. Muhamet Gashi, zëdhënës në Komunën e Prishtinës, tha se me rregullimin e kësaj rruge do të lirohen hapësirat publike dhe rruga do të ketë një pamje tjetër. ”Do të rregullohet edhe nënkalimi si dhe një qendër tregtare“, shtoi Gashi. Ai tha se në vitin që vjen komuna do të fillojë me zgjerimin e rrugës. Komuna për zgjerimin e kësaj rruge ka ndarë mjete në vlerë 500 mijë euro. Sipas Gashit, rruga do të marrë një pamje tjetër, do të zgjerohet me dy shirita dhe do të lirohet nga hapësirat publike dhe nga uzurpimet që e kanë shëmtuar atë pjesë.

Don't underestimate these places just because you think they're bad.

Mbindërtimet i rrëzon Zoti, e jo Isa

Për shkak të erës së fortë, një mbindërtim ka rënë në rrugë dhe mbi automjetet e parkuara poshtë banesës. Përveç dëmtimit të 7 makinave, nuk është lënduar askush. Mbindërtimi në lagjen Ulpiana ka qenë pa leje. Atë e rrëzoi Zoti, e jo Kryetari i Komunës, Isa Mustafa.

Era që frynte ditën e enjte (dje), ka rrëzuar mbindërtimin e një banese kolektive në lagjen “Ulpiana” në Prishtinë, saktësisht në banesën D-9 Hyrja 8, duke e rrëzuar atë në tokë, por që fatmirësisht nuk është lënduar asnjëri.

Nga rënia e saj, janë dëmtuar 7 makina të parkuara poshtë ndërtesës, bëjnë të ditur punëtorët e ndërmarrjes së Komunës, “Hortikultura”, të cilët kanë dalë menjëherë në vendin e ngjarjes për të pastruar vendin.

“Ne po heqim pjesët e rëna mbi makina dhe në tokë. Shkaktare e rënies ka qenë era, ndërsa janë dëmtuar 7 makina dhe fatmirësisht nuk ka njerëz të lënduar”, tha punëtori i Hortikulturës.

Ndërsa, Endriti, një djalë shtatëvjeçar, banor i kësaj ndërtese, kishte qenë shumë afër rënies së kulmit dhe për shumë pak ka shpëtuar.

”Vetëm një metër para meje ka rënë kulmi. Për një moment ra krejt në tokë”, u shpreh Endriti i tmerruar prej asaj që ka parë.

Ndërkohë që banorët e kësaj ndërtese tregojnë se çatia e rënë ka qenë e vendosur nga pronarët e katit të pestë, respektivisht të katit të fundit, të cilët më herët patën filluar të bëjnë një mbindërtim aty.

“Pronari i katit të fundit, Hysen Ibra, para një viti pati filluar të ndërtojë një mbindërtim pa leje për vete. Akoma pa u përfunduar, inspekcioni komunal pati rrënuar atë ndërtim dhe kështu si improvizim familja Ibra ka vendosur një çati prej llamarine për të parandaluar reshjet e shiut që dëmtonte të gjithë banorët e ndërtesës”, tha Ardiani, një banor i kësaj banese. Kurse banorët e katit të pestë nuk ishin aty, pasi që menjëherë pas rënies së kulmit kishin dalë nga banesa.

Në anën tjetër, Agron Borovci, zëdhënës i policisë për rajonin e Prishtinës, tha se hetimet janë duke vazhduar për të përcaktuar arsyen e vërtetë të rënies së çatisë dhe se në vendin e ngjarjes kanë dalë menjëherë policia.

Ndërsa Komuna e Prishtinës, saktësisht, Drejtoria e Urbanizmit dhe Inspekcionit, menjëherë ka dalë me një komunikatë për të sqaruar vendosjen e këtij kulmi dhe rënien e tij.

“Në qershor të vitit 2007, Komuna e Prishtinës ka rrënuar mbindërtimin pa leje të bërë nga banori i kësaj ndërtese, Hysen Ibra, pasi që ky pronar ka pasur leje vetëm për të bërë punimin e hidroizolimit të terasës së tyre”, thuhet në komunikatën e Komunës.

Zyrtarët komunalë nuk kanë komentuar asgjë, përpos një komunikate që ka sqaruar se si ka ndodhur rasti.

Kosovo Builders Reap Huge Profits

Construction of residential buildings remains one of the most profitable businesses in Kosovo, according to experts, who say building companies can earn a profit of 300 per cent per project on their initial investments, largely as a result of the low cost of construction materials.

Local builders say the average investment needed to build per square metre in Kosovo is about 250 euro, while in Western countries, by comparison, it would cost more than 1,000 euro. Visar Gojani, who sells building material, says it would cost about 13,000 euro to build a 50-square-metre flat in Pristina that would then sell on the market for not less than 50,000 euro.

Moreover, the differential between investment costs and profits from property sales is widening, as the pressure for homes pushes real estate prices ever higher. “The prices of building materials are falling, while real estate prices are rising,” Gojani notes.

Profits earned by the construction industry are highest in Pristina, where demand for homes is strongest, compared to cities such as Prizren, Gjakova and Peja.

Valon Hadri, who works for Ndertimi building company in Gjakova, says for that reason construction companies prefer to work on projects in, or around, the capital.

“In Gjakova and other towns, you can’t sell an apartment for more than 500 euros per square metre, whereas in Pristina it costs around 1,000,” he said.

Construction companies justify the high prices they demand by pointing to the greater demand for flats and buildings in the capital. They also say the cost of obtaining building permits is highest in the capital.

As Durim Berisha, owner of Tregtia, a company that has built a number of new buildings in Pristina, puts it, prices in the capital are higher “not only because land is more expensive but because the cost of construction and licenses is more expensive.”

Municipal authorities in Pristina dispute the claims regarding high local taxes - to an extent.

Nazmije Tora, head of the department for urban planning in the Pristina municipality, says they charge 15 euro per square metre for residential buildings and 20 euro for commercial ones.

Liridon Krasniqi, an architect, told Balkan Insight that even when construction companies respected all the necessary procedures and paid all the requisite taxes, their profits were still often huge. “When I worked on one project for a 20-floor building, the owner made over half a million euro in profit even though he paid every single tax and respected all the procedures,” he said.

Apart from construction companies, local authorities are also profiting from the building boom in Kosovo.

Officials from Pristina Municipality acknowledge that fees collected from building permits have significantly swelled the city’s coffers. “Only between January and October, we collected more than 15 million euro,” Muhamet Gashi, spokesperson for the municipality, said.

Given that many building contractors in Kosovo do not obtain all the necessary permits, or pay their taxes, it is clear that the fees collected by the city has the potential to become much higher in future.

Harxhimet e përgjithshme të pritura në fund të rekonstruimit parashihen të jenë afro 11.000.000 €, ndërsa afati i përgjithshëm i rekonstruimit do të jetë afro 20 muaj.


Ekziston elaborate për rekonstruimin e tërësishëm të Pallatit Univerzal.



Projekti B: Pishinat e mbylluara dhe të hapura:

Si pjesë e kompleksit është paraparë ndërtimi i pishinave të mbylluara me sipërfaqe prej 6000 m2 dhe të hapura. Në këto hapsira është paraparë zhvillimi i të gjitha lojeve të nontit për stërvitje deri të mbajtja e garave kulminante sportive.

Në këto hapsira janë parapar këto përmbajtje:

Pishina për fëmijë me lokale tjera përcjellëse.

Tani më është formësua idea që nën Pishinën Olimpike të ndërtohet një qendër e re tregëtare dhe nën te një Garazhe publike nëntokësore tre-katër katëshe.

Projekti D: Terenet e hapura sportive:

Në kuadër të Qendrës është parapar ndërtimi i një mori objekteve sportive në hapsira të hapura.

Kështu që është parapar fusha për hendboll me tribunat përcjellëse për afro 2000 vizitorë, dy fusha për tenis, dy fusha për basketboll dhe tri fusha për volejboll. Së bashku me stadiumin e futbollit është paraparë edhe ekziston projekti për ndërtimin e fushës ndihmëse futbollistike me hapsirat përcjellëse dhe shtigjet për stërvitje.

Gjithahstu ekziston projekti për rekonstruimin e Stadiumit Futbolistik me objketet përcjellëse e cila është paraparë që të rekonstruohet në katër faza.

Në kuadër të Stadiumit Futbollistik është paraparë të ndërtohet edhe Platoja e të Rinjëve, lidhur me Platon e Qendrës Tregëtare.

Projekti E: Hoteli i sportiestëve me objektet përcjellëse:

Me programin investiv është paraparë edhe ndërtimi Hotelit Sportiv dhe objektet përcjellëse në ngastrat katastrale Nr. 6204/3 dhe Nr. 6204/4. Meqenëse të njejtat janë prone e QSHKSE-së.

Hoteli i sportistëve përbëhet prej dy ndërtesave. Në pjesën e re lidhëse që do të ndërtohet në mes të dy ndërtesave është paraparë të bëhet trema hyrëse, recepcioni, restorani me repartin e kuzhinës, ndërsa në kat kafeneja me repartin e kuzhinës. Objekti i tillë i koncentruar do të kishte sipërfaqe prej 6930 m2.

Ekziston programi dhe arsyeshmëria për ndërtimin e Hotelit të sportistëve me objektet përcjellëse si dhe pëlqimi nga Këshilli Ekzekutiv i KK Prishinë, Odës Ekomike, Lidhjes Turistike të Kosovës e tjera.

Projekti F: Ura lidhëse

Në kuadër të kompleksit është paraparë të ndërtohet Ura Lidhëse e cila lidh Platonë përmbi Qendrën Tregëtare dhe Platonë e Hotelit Grand. Ekziston projekti i cili gjindet në Drejtorinë për regullimin e Tokës.

I'm not sure I like that building there in Lakrishte; there are enough tall residential buildings there and another one is not needed. The city needs some breathing space. There is no reason why the city cannot expand into land surrounding it; it is plentiful. I realize that the price of the apartments may not be the same, but there is no need for another large residential building to go up there.

I could see the argument that anything is better than the old rundown industrial depots that used to be there, but I want to see Prishtina expand in lands where there is very little or no construction going on. If they keep building these huge high-rises in places where there is already enough going on, the city will suffocate.

Kryeministri i Qeverisë së Republikës së Kosovës, Hashim Thaçi, i shoqëruar nga ministri i Ministrisë së Arsimit, Shkencës dhe Tekonologjisë, Enver Hoxhaj dhe rektori i Universitetit të Prishtinës, Enver Hasani ka vënë sot solemnisht gurthemelin e Fakultetit të Edukimit në Prishtinë.

Me këtë rast para studentëve dhe mësimdhënësve të Fakultetit të edukimit , kryeministri Hashim Thaçi ka thënë se ky ka qenë vit historik i investimit në edukim në Kosovë, duke përgëzuar të gjithë studentët, mësimdhënësit, gjithë arsimin e lartë në këtë ditë të rëndësishme për Fakultetin e Edukimit.

“Ky është një investim i ri, për krijimin e kushteve më të mira për mësim për studentët, mësimdhënësit. Kjo është në vazhdën e përkushtimeve që do të tregojmë si Qeveri e Republikës së Kosovës, si Ministri e Arsimit, në bashkëpunim edhe me Rektoratin”, tha kryeministri Hashim Thaçi, duke shtuar se në fillim të vitit të ardhshëm do të fillojë ndërtimi i objektit të ri të Fakultetit Juridik dhe renovimi i Rektoratit, Institutit Albanologjik, në mënyrë që të ndryshojmë këtë pamje jo edhe aq të mirë të kompleksit të Universitetit.

Më tutje, kryeministri Thaçi ka premtuar se me reformat që kanë filluar në arsim, me autonominë financiare që do të ndodhë në fillim të vitit të ardhshëm edhe pagat e mësimdhënësve të Universitetit do të dyfishohen.

My opinion is that Prishtina is already in the process of expanding... Just look at the projects in Kalabria, Arberia, Bregu i Diellit etc... + soon the new zone of the socalled "Prishtina e Re" in Hajvalia will start construction...
At this moment, Prishtina can't expand more than this, because we don't have the capacity to expand more (large investments needed to build up new infrastructure etc..)...


I also would like to see Prishtina expand more in the future... But not if that means we leave large areas in the center undeveloped, such as Lakrishte - which currently is a total waste of space.. If you don't like that new tall buildings are being built there, you should start getting used to it... this is just a small project, while the regulation plan foresees over 30 000 people living in this "mix-used" area.. that means several thousands of appartments will be built in Lakrishte during the future years in combination with commercial spaces...
Personally I love the fact that Prishtina has a highrise zone in Lakrishte.. I just hope that not too much of this land will be built up too soon, so that some valuable land for highrises will still be available for some spectacular projects as the city advances in the future..

No, I like and support the development of Lakrishte - or, for that matter, any other part of the town - and love the ENK project there. Not sure if you know where this project is supposed to be exactly, but I was there this summer and they were doing the digging: it's right next to those high-rise apartments that were were discussing the color of, if you remember. It's going to be RIGHT NEXT to the police station, and almost on the street (which is going to be expanded next year). I want to see more high-rise buildings, but I'm not sure that this one has a good location.

I don't know who won the competition... But some renders from Ferizi+Ferizi was posted here a while ago... They got only 3rd place though.. Their proposal looked great after my opinion, the winning project better be at least that good..

Yes, I think so too. The University is in a desparate need of an upgrade and capacity expansion. That 3rd place project doesn't look too bad, actually, kind of like it. Hopefully this one is nice, although I hate it when they don't update the public and post images and plans of big buildings being constructed. Especially if it's public work.

Ministri i Ministrisë së Arsimit Shkencës dhe Teknologjisë, z. Enver Hoxhaj është shprehur se kjo ndërtesë do të ketë 6 mijë metra katrorë, ndërsa vlera e projektit është 2 milion e tetëqind mijë euro. Objekti do të ketë hapësira të nevojshme të pajisura me qendra kompjuterike, bibliotekë dhe amfiteatër. Ndërtimi i këtij objekti dukshëm do të përmirësojë infrastrukturën në qendrën e Universitetit të Prishtinës, që siç dihet ka qenë në gjendje jo të mirë. Ndërtimi i këtij objekti dhe paralajmërimi për ndërtimin e Fakultetit Juridik dukshëm do ta përmirësojë hapësirën dhe do ta bëjë këtë sipas standardeve evropiane. Ky është një lajm i mirë për gjeneratat e ardhshme, tha rektori Enver Hasani. Tutje, ai ka mirëpritur paralajmërimin e Kryeministrit Thaçi për rritjen e pagave për profesorët e UP-së dhe ka falënderuar Qeverinë e Kosovës për këtë gatishmëri të shprehur.

I agree with you - it's not hard at all. It would even be in their benefit, as they would be selling their "success" to the public as well. Today the website of the Ministry of Transportation got suspended because they probably didn't pay for hosting. Check it out, www.mtpt.org - it's just awful how much money is spent on these websites, yet most of them are not updated or look terrible.

Next fiscal budget (2009) will allocate almost 600,000 euros to creating a uniform and consistent website infrastructure for the government and its ministries. Let's see if they finally realize that internet is an important source of information for many, not just outside of Kosova either.

The worst example though, must be the website of Municipality of Prishtina.... It doesn't contain anything useful at all, just some selective news stories about Isa Mustafas meetings... What about making public and with easy access - all regulation plans, and all information about proposed/approved projects in Prishtina etc..

Oh yeah, I agree with you. Not to mention that it was designed by some guy with a 1987 IBM OS/2 machine. Isa Mustafa is an awful mayor, and is entirely nontransparent with his electorate and the citizens of Prishtina. The municipality has a budget of 40 million euros, yet it cannot, for example, put a new coat of paint on some of the god-awful commie block around town to bring them to life.
