Nyeri is Kenya's 6th largest town (population 90,000-120,000). Its the provincial headquarters and main commercial centre for central kenya.

1.) Its the home town of Kenyas president Mwai Kibaki

2.) Its the hometown of Nobel Laureate Wangari Maathai

3.) The founder of the world scouting movement Lord Baden Powell is buried here.

4.) It will be the host for the world scouting jamboree this year.

Its possible the president may have a reserved bathroom since he is the chief patron of the club (Golf happens to be president Kibaki's sport). Anyway what I know is that the club underwent a major renovation as soon as Kibaki came to power. It now feels like a five star hotel.:)

What i like most about kisumu city is that,its very clean especially the town centre.The bus termini is very modern and well paved compared to Nairobi's Machakos bus station.Kisumu has a vibrant nightlife too.

Me Too. Nakuru seems to be taking on a Nairobi like look. On my last visit, it seems most new buildings are getting tinted glass fronts, the streets are well kept with new lights, plus there is a brand new highway being built through the town. Though I don't think we will ever get to see a skyscraper in this town.

I love Nakuru. I think zoning laws prohibit the building of mega towers because the are is unstable. We should see some 10 storey buidings come up as the city continues to grow.

Kenguy good job you are making us real proud of our country we need more of this kind of pics no matter what the condition some of them twns maybe in thats our beloved kenya. Looking at other countries especially wale wana mafuta you know who i,m talking about our smaller cities are even better looking and organized than theirs major cities.
