dysan1 December 22nd, 2006, 02:37 PM Can anyone find pics of the venue and how it looked from those overhead shots with the skyline behind? was epic fun!
Mo Rush December 22nd, 2006, 03:04 PM were the crowds any good? from the sabc reports there did not seem to be great support for the event

stupid SABC.
mike2005 December 23rd, 2006, 08:16 PM I love those pics! I heard from a friend that the last day was great and that there were a lot of people there. North beach really is so good and its getting a great rep as a good place to hold open air events.
P.S: Are they doing beach africa again this year and if so when? I have to book time off work quite far in advance so I want to make sure I can make it.
dysan1 December 24th, 2006, 02:43 PM ^^ beach africa has been done every year for the last 14 years, and if u include all the time that the gunston was running, then its been running for over 30 years.
last year saw 720 000 people attend the event, confirming its position as the worlds greatest beach festival.
So without a doubt it will still be on!
and how great is it that the Soccer world cup is in town at the same time as the beach event in 2010....it will be even more mammouth then!
mike2005 December 24th, 2006, 08:34 PM awesome. do you know what bands are in the line up in 2007?
dysan1 December 24th, 2006, 10:02 PM no clue hey. they dont normally announce until a few weeks before. its always around the first week in july
dysan1 December 24th, 2006, 10:04 PM same time as the Durban July...its a double deal that time of the year

Llanfairpwllgwy-ngyllgogerychwy-rndrobwllllanty-siliogogogoch June 27th, 2007, 11:44 AM In SA I hardly see any gays but on this forum there a quite a lot.
Is it easy to be gay in S-Africa?
NL is a gay paradise since a long time and a lot of overseas gays move to NL because they are safe here. However recently Muslim youth is attacking gays on regular base,From our 16 mil people about 2 mil are muslim(mostly N-African and Turks)
^Anton^ June 27th, 2007, 02:49 PM SSC is queer, everybody knows that, hehe :)
Llanfairpwllgwy-ngyllgogerychwy-rndrobwllllanty-siliogogogoch June 27th, 2007, 02:57 PM the SA part surely is, no problem for me though
I know some gay guys here also, their friend base is almost always the same.
There best friends are either girls or other gay men.
Seems straight guys and gay guys can't have a friendship.
^Anton^ June 27th, 2007, 03:01 PM And the Israeli part, the Spanish one... lol.
As for straight guys and gay guys not being able to have a friendship... that's really stupid, I have good straight friends and I'm close to them as I am to girls (I've even slept with straight friends and that was never a problem).
Actually, the good thing about the friendship between a straight guy and a gay guy is that you don't have this sexual tension that you find a lot more often between two gay guys.

Rubbish! almost all my mates are straight guys. I have very few gay mates. and yes in the main 3 cities it is fine and easy to be gay imo
