this is an aerial of the tsirio stadium in limassol. its location is ideal; next to the Limassol motorway but its condition is not so good.

απ`οτι ξερω,απο περσι υπηρχε κονδυλι απο τον ΚΟΑ για ανακαινιση του τσιρειου και του μακαριου.
στο μακαριο δεν εγινε τιποτα,για το τσιρειο δε γνωριζω.
ειναι ομως κριμα γιατι και τα δυο σταδια μπορουν να επεκταθουν και ν`αυξησουν σημαντικα τη χωρητικοτητα τους

yes i read about that. in cyprus we have too many stadiums with tracks around the main pitch. the problem is that these stadiums are used 99% for football and 1% for games. thus in my opinion football clubs in cyprus must try to have their own stadiums to be used solely for football ie: no track around the pitch. The municipalities or athletic clubs such as GSP GSO GSZ etc...should try so that each city has a proper stadium with track around the pitch to be used solely for games. Then we will be talking about real sports infrastructure in Cyprus. i heard that omonia,appollon,aris and aek are trying to built their own football stadiums. we will see how that comes in the future.
