What do you people here think of my current hometown Munich. I know it's more famous for beer than skyscrapers but it has a few and a nice classic skyline.
It is one of the richest cities in the world and home to BMW and Siemens and tons of other multinationals. Unfortunately the height restriction here are pretty strict

Wow! Although not dense or tall, I LOVE that BMW building and the Bank headquarters or whatever you said that one building was!

I give it an 8! For being so spectacular!

I would like to apologize to my dear friends in Munich, because when I was there with my family a few years back, we somehow got all confused and started driving through a plaza. So if anybody remember a ridiculous looking American family driving right through a walking plaza, that was yours truly! :D

I know Munich very well.
It's one of the nicest cities in Germany.
But there are only a few talls and unfortunately constructing high-rises over 100 metres have been restricted for some months.
So there won't be a better skyline in the near future.

skyline not necessarily has to be modern and high to be great, personaly i prefer historical (european) skyline and i would choose 20 50-100 meter church spires over 20 150-300 meter skyscrapers anyday and since Munich has one of the best historical skylines in europe i give it a strong 10 :)

but of course only for the historic skyline which is really one of the best ones i find. am i right?
...on the other side munich completely lacks of a highrise skyline...yet has some very nice single buildings (BMW-tower, HypoBank-tower, MunichHighlightTowers, MunichCityTower..)

well, ok they try but miserably fail ;)

the alps look great, but the city skyline is rather mediocre

actually in munich no one even tries to create a skyline which is a shame. the opposite is the case. :ohno:
all that in spite of that the conditions (money, office-space demand, high land costs..) would be perfect to create many nice highrise buildings...

well there are some highrises in the outskirts, which looks rather silly. I hope that this stupid law that forbids moe highrises isn't extended

it hasnt been extended so far..(and it wont in the future). neither has it ever been a law against highrises in general. only for buildings which were to exceed the 100m mark. but silly thourh, right.
