Here's a video from Youtube of Villaraigosa taking the Red Line from Hollywood/Highland to Downtown LA. Good to see that he himself is setting an example for everyone else, especially after that stupid article from the Daily News about him being a hypocrite.

The Daily News does not represent unbiased journalism but stinkin' trash, so who cares what they write about anyway. Hooray for Villaraigosa!!!

Not taking sides here, but there's a difference between going on a virtual press junket on the subway and riding the rail system at will, like he used to do riding the Gold Line from his Mt. Washington area home to Downtown. Villaraigosa isn't averse to riding the Metro, but the press was simply on his case that he only rode it during the beginning days of his term, then went back to riding in an SUV.

I liked his address on drunk driving - although I wonder how it would affect the statistics. Props for him trying various things.

I'll give Mayor V. more credit than his predecessors. Riordan and Hahn only rode Metro Rail on opening day VIP trains.
