Snoop Dogg January 4th, 2007, 08:39 PM WHY CANT U STAND HER.... Snoop Dogg January 4th, 2007, 08:53 PM THANKS MO Llanfairpwllgwy-ngyllgogerychwy-rndrobwllllanty-siliogogogoch January 5th, 2007, 11:58 AM ^^ try to hit the Caps Lock button just once ;) SA BOY January 8th, 2007, 08:48 AM I read in Newsweek this week that it cost US$40 million-R280 million. What a waste of money for 40 puplis. Wouldent building 20 more moderate schools have been a better contribution to SA future>? Jakes1 January 8th, 2007, 11:34 AM 400 pupils, not 40. Plus she is planning to build another school in kwa-zulu natal. Fact - the 400 girls that attend this school will have a certain shot at tersiary studies - around 100 girls a year will be able to persue university degrees because of this school. It is certainly not a waste of money - and def a good idea to invest in bright minds that are excluded from quality education. Durbsboi January 9th, 2007, 09:04 AM FUCK! I was right there! this school is in Henly on Klip? isnt? Damn! I was in vereneging for a week! I drive past this place like everyday! kulani January 17th, 2007, 04:39 PM Agree with Jakes1, its important for the ANC government to understand that socialist type tendencies where all schools are forced into proportional resourcing based on number of students tends to discourage centres of excellence. These are critical to help improve the skills crisis SA is facing due to our poor education system. While government expenditure on the bulk of schools in SA is greatly applauded, they should also identify schools that can yield results quickly and invest more in those schools to fast track skills development especially in science and mathematics related fields. There is nothing wrong with this and its done successfully in other countries as well. A case in point is a school i went to back in the 1990s which had a science scholarship program for top performing students in the surrounding area. This school produced most of the black engineers, IT professionals, doctors, CAs that i know from around my home town today. But the ANC quickly dismantled it when they came to power in 1994 and the results of those actions actually speaks for itself. :( Durbsboi January 18th, 2007, 08:16 AM I heard she's building another one in Transkei some where? Harkeb January 19th, 2007, 08:22 AM Hail Oprah. Love her to bits. She puts her money where her mouth is. Could we vote for her to be our next president? Snoop Dogg January 27th, 2007, 06:25 AM South africa is a rich country and i think oprah should be building schools in poorer countries in africa...why south africa....south africa has the 25th largest economic in the world they should build their schools. Oprah needs to put the money in countries like tanzania, zimbabwe, nigeria, kenya, ethiopia e.t.c. South africa is a mixture of 1st world and 3rd world = 2nd world country moving up fast to be 1st world. Durbsboi January 29th, 2007, 09:14 AM ^^Because shes Oprah, & she believes this is her home, even after Mango (buthalezi) shutting her up telling her she came from northern africa |
