Shadow|Reaper February 10th, 2008, 03:38 PM Fantastic Tower, I can't wait to see some progress! I say go ahead and build it! And why 191 meters? Thats disappointing, should have been 250m min and 330 max.
malec February 10th, 2008, 03:50 PM ^^ Height restrictions in that area
Shadow|Reaper February 10th, 2008, 03:53 PM Hight restrictions? The airport is nowhere near that area.
maryamnademi February 10th, 2008, 03:58 PM :)Our first proposal for this tower was 260m,but as per Height restrictions in that area we reduced the height to 191 meter.
Shadow|Reaper February 10th, 2008, 04:03 PM ^ Maybe I am missing something here, and sorry if it sounds stupid but... Emirates Towers are tall, the Hardrock Hotel will be even taller, the Rose Rotana is 333 meters, why is this reduced? Whats the limit?
THE DUBAI GUYS February 10th, 2008, 04:12 PM ok one we have a thread for this:
http://www.skyscrapercity.com/showthread.php?t=427146
and two...isnt Sama tower there? or is this that empty plot???

Wrong location. It is just 2 plots on the left of the area you marked.
BAUER has been on site for a couple of months already.
AltinD February 10th, 2008, 04:43 PM The location: next (on the left) of SAMA Tower

Stephan23 February 10th, 2008, 05:14 PM Cool design, nice dome :okay:
This height restrictions are :bash:
maryamnademi February 10th, 2008, 05:54 PM the location is what i have already marked by red color.this is not the right location.:)
its located before sama tower when you enter sheikh zayed road.
The height restrictions are because of civil aviation.there is nothing we can do.The location: next (on the left) of SAMA Tower

schematic external light design:http://img352.imageshack.us/img352/5184/070902perspective2a4gj3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
AltinD February 10th, 2008, 06:11 PM ^^ Ok fair enough, so it means there are 2 towers to start in that area and Duja will be on the plot I marked in red, while on the other one marked in green will be another tower, unknown to us at this time, and Bauer is already in that site.
http://i27.tinypic.com/2yyuump.jpg
However is not clear if something is actually happening on the site.
malec February 10th, 2008, 06:36 PM Thanks for providing this info to us by the way. Just a little question. You say 50 stories, is that including the ground floor and so on?
maryamnademi February 10th, 2008, 07:46 PM You're most welcome.Actually its 50+GF+Mezzanine.
i don't know about the green area, i will try to see if i can find sth!
Cheers
ZZ-II February 10th, 2008, 07:58 PM someone should change the title...the tower will not have only 5 floors
"APPROVED: DUJA TOWER, 5F Res, 191m"
Parisian Girl February 10th, 2008, 09:48 PM Awesome looking tower! Luv this design ... pity it's only 191m, but I think it will still compliment SZR very well.
BigDreamer February 12th, 2008, 09:11 AM I love this tower ... it makes me happy !!
SA BOY February 12th, 2008, 03:00 PM DCA restrictions changed back a few years ago when I first noted it. the reason is the change of the 2nd runway at the airport and it was moved back a bit to allow for duel take off and landing (old runways were too close together). The result is that the emergancy flight paths left and right when landing needed to be moved and these plots and the park lane plots as well as some sharjah plots were reduced
AltinD March 7th, 2008, 03:47 PM Check the ZETAS tag on the right. It seams they've got the piling/shoring contract and are already on site.

Dan Hochhaus November 20th, 2010, 05:28 PM Alright, then... here some merged snapshots by me, taken from Gerald's gigapan from Red (http://gigapan.org/gigapans/64973/).
I guess the Duja Tower site should be to the left of slowly rising Burj Al Salam.
Yet I see the two cranes and no construction above ground. Perhaps there's some kind of action below...

The Duja Tower is on the left side. Only the two yellow cranes,
but they are standing since 1 year.
AltinD November 21st, 2010, 02:17 PM Actually there's a 3rd crane comming up, but it seams to be on the parking structure at the back.
