Thanks Nadini for the pics, but I'm 99% sure that the construction seen in the pics you posted are not for The Pavilions. The latter is located more to the left.
The building U/C seems to be a private residence.

well this is why i think its the one, maybe the lower buildings are being built and the higher one is starting to rise. The building alone under construction is the same building in the rendering, same amount of window and same style, and on the other side, u can see the arches that are similar

http://img264.imageshack.us/img264/9632/222uj5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

but then again the building standing alone is on top and the one with the arches is on the bottom, while in the rendering its the opposite, maybe they just started building the traditional looking home and didnt start on the other, if thats so, whats the project being underconstruction in those pic?

1 is the British and Japanese Embassy.
2 is a private residence according to Solidere's Quarterly reports. Notice in 2 I have included that villa because in this (http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/8306/thepavilionsft1.gif) pic, that same villa appears behind The Pavilion's villa.
3 is the plot of land dedicated to The Pavilions.

nareg

Sure, that traditional Lebanese villa is located more or the less the place shown by the 3rd arrow.

U guys,i think some of what Nadini said is right,i mean they look identical.maybe there's another one there as well.but some of those buildings definately belong to the pavilions.

Nareg, the plot you indicated for the Pavilions seems too small for the renderings...but I may be wrong. Nevertheless the pic Nadini posted is really amazing and shows some great progress whatever the project is, but when was this taken? (I ask because I dont see the Achrafiyeh tower in the background)

Also, this area is called "Wadi Abu Jmil" and will be made up of similiar-looking buildings.

Wadi bou jamil will look gr8,so traditional buildings,a very nice addition to the wonderful architecture of the DownTown area.

Beiruti, the plot I showed (#3) is only a part of the plot area (There is a continuation to the right). When I return home I post part of Solidere's map for Wadi Abu Jmil.

Okay guys, here is the map. [ I know we went off-topic a lot concerning the project itself]

http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/6121/newpicturefu2.jpg

It is clear that in front of the British and Japenese Embassy is located that building which is not The Pavilions.
In the map, 59 is The Pavilions.

No, the web site does not have recent pics.
During the last update of the site (on November 15, 2006) they stated that:

Concrete Slab of the 4th Floor is completed
Concrete Slab of the 5th Floor is in progress and is completed at 50%. The other 50% is expected to be completed this week.
All Concrete works are expected to be completed around February 15, 2007.
Masonry works are completed in the 1st Floor, and started in the 2nd Floor.

tnxs 14leb! my goodness the Al Murr tower is tall and ugly. those apartments are soooo nice but the purple ''buildings'' are not buildings Beirut!, look at the one on the far right, its not 3d, is it a tall board or what exactly? And whats that building being built in the back of those nice apartments?

Hassoun
April 28th, 2007, 09:13 PM
^^I think it's the pavilions itself from behind or something,,,those apartments are not part of the pavilions right???

Beiruti
April 28th, 2007, 09:19 PM
