View Full Version : Up to 70 new towers will be built Qatarifreak January 8th, 2007, 04:21 AM The area where the Rydges hotel is will be demolished for a 30 billion riyal project. The project will consist of up to 70 new towers. I've heard this from several people now. Qatar wants every large company who invests in Qatar to have their own building, in order to more easily regulate and look over them. suzan January 8th, 2007, 07:03 AM That's awesome! The 70 new towers are to be built just to the North, on the lower land heading towards the Post Office. Filling up the cleared space there, and not overlooking the Palace!! It would not only be dumb to demolish the Rydges and build a new tower in its place, but economically doesnt make sense.
