The site is where S&P and Patara are situated rightnow.

^^ Awww....Patara is such a nice place, but soooo expensive.

Oh well, I'm sure they'll pop up again somewhere

Office buildings are always good. Nice mix of 50s-70s curtainwall facade on one side and a modern one on the front.

^^ I agree kub Jo, That is one of my dream since it around my house so I don't have to go to Siam or Thongloh all the time, instead can walk around Sathorn and it will actually attract more tourists to this area to see Sathorn area, from my point of view I think Sathorn is one of the best looking area in Bkk as the buildings are all in lines on both sides of the rd. BUT sadly at the moment there are kinda none of those retails/ shopping complex I'm talking about yet. . . . . metro sathorn was close but damn it been cancel just like that :ohno:

i like the idea that sathorn may avoid the hussle and bussle that a large retail complex may bring...
it is nice and quiet on the weekends, really amazing actually.
if one wants the retail therapy, i think they can go to siam etc...
what will happen is that more restaurants and bars will open up and behind in the sois to cater to all of these new offices and condo buildings...just have to wait.

i live on sathorn, and it is not a long drive to get some food on narathiwat- however, i would appreciate having at least a Tops where you cn buy daily food. i do not talk here about a central complex, i am talking about a quick foodstore for sathorn residents.

so the empire place will be closer to food shops i.e., tops etc?
I agree, having some nice place to buy food nearby is very convenient. it seems this area is void of this...

And those ramdom black lines that khun MiL9 mentioned are holes to the lift core, so there will be moving lights from the lifts when they operate krab

Wouldn't mind to see more of short 'but' modern building like this one around BKK.
We only need few supertalls, height is important but the design is more important imo.
