Conference North side Nuneaton Borough have started work on a new stadium which they hope to move into for the start of the 07/08 season. The stadium will be shared with Nuneaton RFC who play in National Division 2. The stadium will be built in phases.
Here are the plans....

My local club, Burscough are moving to a similar sized one in a year or so too. I don't see why but I believe they've been offered good money to shift for housing developments.
Burscough get about 300 on average per home game. Interesting to see this as I assume our new one will resemble it, in size if nothing else.

I hope the same thing happens to Marine, Tuesday. That site on College Road is surrounded by some pretty large houses, so must be worth a few bob. Maybe a ground share with Waterloo RUFC would be an option?

It may to be to do with "Ground Grading". Basically a team at Nuneaton's level should have a ground with a capacity of 3,000, which can be expanded to 4,000. There should be a covered area on at least 2 sides with 500 seats 250 should be together as one block.
There are loads of other rules as well (i.e. number of turnstile entrances (6), press seats (6), directors seats (24), toilets (4 urinals and 2 WC for men and 2 WCs for women) etc etc). To get promoted to a league you need to meet these requirements, however if you are already in a league you can usually stay there without having to comply.
The standards quoted above are for North/South conference for season 2007/8 and so whilst the standards required for the National Conference for 2007/8 have not yet been confirmed they will be this standard or (probably) higher. Therefore teams need to be in a position to be able to quickly comply with these requirements which is easier in a ground purpose built for such and this may be why so many teams are moving.
For more details on the actual rules and regulations of non-league ground grading a good website is: http://www.thepyramid.info/misc/ground.htm

Correct, thats why a said new stadium as you couldn't call LW a stadium at the minute it's a pitch with a fence around it and a clubhouse.
I've found some construction photos (taken 12th Jan)

Gotcha - so they're building the new stadium around the existing rugby pitch?
