Ummm, Savannah ain't exactly a "skyline city". And this picture doesn't capture any of it's charm.

Savannah is one of the most beautiful cities in all of the US, though...

I think its awesome. A skyline doesnt have to have tall buildings to be a skyline

It's a beautiful city but no skyline.

9/10 - not because it's skyline is enormous and very tall- but because i like it for what it is supposed to be.

where;s the city? where's the skyline? where's the bump in the clouds from a church spire or glass tower? i look at savannah and think, where's the where?
all i see is a couple of blocks full of buildings that are stunning only in their banality. im sure savannah is a pretty city (i know of its reputation of colonial riverside homes) but from what ive seen here there seems to be little evidence of anything exciting and i want drama.
croydon is better than this.

i need more pics to judge this city. this picture apparently isn't worth a 1000 words..

I've only been to Savannah once. But what a gem of a city. It doesn't need a skyline - it has all those parks! I can't wait to re-visit it. It's one of America's urban treasures.

What I've seen of the skyline in another thread somewhere indicates that thee isn't much more to the skyline than what appears on the top picture. Really beautiful city, but the kyline doesn't have enough style to match the rest of the place. Cheers.

I give it a 5, Not a large enough city to have massive skyline anyway. I love it the way it is. Urban dense European style city.

Holy cow... the comments on this thread! This is Savannah people, it's one of the most beautiful small cities around. Rate the skyline low if you like cuz it doesn't have a few razzle dazzlers, but it's not supposed too. The view of downtown from the river is beautiful, but it's not downtown that matters to Savannah, they don't want any 50 story "Your Corporate Logo at the Top" with a spire that goes up 1000 ft and all glass buildings built here. It would ruin Savannah. Savannah is an urban gem in the slow, lazy low country of Georgia. I'd rate this not based on skyline, but on urbanity and architecture of the entire city, because it's not a highrise shineyline sorta place, and doesn't want to be. - 10

When I rate a skyline, I rate not just on the number of tall buildings, but by how the buildings that are there work together, how the skyline works with its natural surroundings, and whether or not the buildings are overwhelmingly historic. While Savannah may only have a couple of bona fide midrises, the city itself is so beautiful, and its buildings look so perfect together that I have to give it a 10.
