Culture, fun, shops, offices and a hotel as well as above-standard residential apartments; all of which is included in the Twin City multifunctional complex, which is growing on the border of Bratislava’s Old Town and the Ružinov district. The total investment costs related to this project are approximately 17 billion Slovak crowns, which makes the Twin City centre the most significant development project not only in Slovakia, but also in the whole of Central and Eastern Europe. The construction of a new, modern bus station is also integrated in the Twin City project and is planned to replace the current, out-of-date area for travellers.

Twin City will form a complex of buildings dominated by a high-rise structure. The total leasable area provided by Twin City is as much as 200,000 m2. Half of the area is planned to be used for shops, fun and relaxation activities. More than 60,000 m2 is reserved for administrative and office premises of the highest category and for an exclusively equipped 4-star hotel with 200 rooms. The concept also includes 320 high-standard apartments.

I just visited Wikipedia and it says that population of Bratislava is ˝only˝ 500 000... God, I always thought that Bratislava is much bigger! But we all know that cities in between 500 000 and 1 000 000 are the most pleasant cities for living.

However, this tower is really special and quite tall !!

IMHO this "ladder" ;) is exactly something, that makes the building untypical and interesting. The next thing i like is the low part of the building (I don't know the english definition for it but in Poland we call it "przyziemie" :) ) It's really impressive! And generally the skyline of Bratislava seems to be very nice in the near future.

those three highrises are another buildings in same project. 170m tower (latest information says its only 138m) is not definetly designed yet.

Great project! Bratislava is booming, the amount of highrise construction is very high for a city of its size, it seems to be 2 times that of Vienna, despite Bratislava having only a quarter of Vienna's population .
The design of the tower looks quite good,but IMO could be a little bit better, but i really like the design of those 3 lower towers, will they be apartments?...
btw how high will the tower be now, since a user here (alien) said it will be only 138 m now, does anybody have more information about that?

I really like it...Cities like Bratislava needs buildings like this one...Go for it...Build them more...:nuts:

Design of the main tower is probably still in development and will be built as phase II.

and another delay in construction start, as i wrote in april, construciton of new bus station should start this autumn, but start is rescheduled for spring 2009.

That's some skyline your starting to build, the web site and video are all amazing, must check up on how thing are going in the future.

- flats are cancelled... the project will consist of offices and retail only
- 4 highrises are cancelled, instead of them, they will build 7f buildings = the main reason is smaller demand after offices in Bratislava
