CALL FOR ENTRIES

For all of you planners and architects out there!! The 25th Annual Hillsborough County Community Design Awards is coming up. The awards recognize design excellence in planning, historic preservation, affordable housing, environmental sensitivity, public participation, and architectural quality in building and development projects within Hillsborough County. All projects designed within the past 5 years are eligible.

Deadline for entries is Feb. 16. Entry fee is $130.

The 25th Annual Community Design Awards will be held April 5, 2007 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center in Downtown Tampa. Tickets to the event go on sale in mid-February. How much are the tickets the even itself going to be?

Tickets to the semi-formal event are $55 per person.

Hmm, wonder which projects will be submitted?
"Projects completed within the past 5 years are eligible for recognition."

They should hold a contest for project ideas, letting the regular public submit. I've got a few ideas they could chew on.
