Hi guys, i went on a skiing trip to Krvavec ski resort yesterday. The morning was foggy, gray and depressive, but when I broke through the clouds, everything changed:). I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed the whole experience.

Skiing in Krvavec
The ski resort of Krvavec is situated in the Kamnisko-Savinjske Alps in northwestern Slovenia. The majority of skiers find their way from Ljubljana or Kranj. Krvavec is best known in Slovenia as the sunniest ski resort. The ski resort, situated on a peak at the edge of the Kalska mountain range, spreads across smooth Alpine meadows and does not require a deep blanket of snow to create ideal skiing conditions.

The slopes lie between 1,450 and 1,971m above sea level and offer 25kms of groomed runs. Skiing is situated at 1,491m, with access by gondola to 1,971m. The longest of the many well-pisted runs is 4.5kms. A separate area on Krvavec is constructed for snowboarding and boasts a half-pipe and a number of jumps. The total piste length is 25kms and there are 13 ski lifts.

Away from the slopes, visitors can partake in sledding or enjoy the Jacuzzi, fitness centre and solarium. There are restaurants on and off the mountain and bars and a disco in the ski centre. A ski kindergarten is also available.

The ski season runs from the end of November until early May. Ljubljanas international airport (Brnik) is just 10kms away and offers regular flight connections to a number of major European cities. Visitors can also arrive by train. The closest railway station is located in Kranj, a small town just 17kms away. Regular buses and Skibus services are available from Ljubljana and Kranj bus stations.

Izgleda da je Krvavec res super za smucat...drugic ko bom po zim v Slovenije,moram ga izprobat:)

Krvavec mi je bil vedno super, sicer včasih piha tam mrzel veter kar ni ravno prijetno, večinoma so pa gor idealne razmere..:cheers:

Hvala antenor, slikce so zares lepe! Moja frendica je učitelj alpskega smučanja in kaže za Krvavec da je super ali da je v Sloveniji Cerkno najboljše. Krvavec mi je zares super, a na Cerkno još moram otići...:colgate: :okay:

BTW ena nevmesna: zdaj ob 19:55 ugasnite električne naprave (PC, TV, luči, itd..) toje del svetovne akcije, da politikom pokažemo da se zavedamo klimatskih sprememb, ki jih povzročamo!!!

BTW jaz smučam od moje 5 godine tak da sm vidio dost smučališča in uvijek volim doći v Sloveniju:)

Letos sploh še niem bil na Krvavcu tako, da prvič vidim novo šestsedežnico. A so jo zamenjali z enosedežnico? Katere balone pa ti misliš? Tiste, ki te zavarujejo pred vetrom? Take bi na Krvavcu gotovo potrebovali :)

Super je stvarno! Slovenia ima po svega malo, planine, fine rijeke, i more :applause:

^^ pa možda i jesu, a vidiš da ti je ovdje početna visina 2866 a max visina na Krvavcu je oko 1900 metara. Ove sjedežnice s kupolama možda su više sa skijališta sa mećavama i snažnim vjetrovima, a mislim da to Krvavec nije...Uglavnom...svaka nova sjedežnica je dobra :okay:

I da, ja sam bio isključio sve aparate u svojoj sobi na pol sata da nebi mislili...:)

@DS8 in Beca, če sem prav razumel se tu (http://www.ljubljana-tourism.si/en/news/69971/podrobno.html) ponuja brezplačen bus iz Lj do Krvavca, samo rezervirat je treba;) (ne razumem čist, upam da ni to samo za tiste, ki so nastanjeni v hotelu/motelu..)

By the way, about the bubbles, they can only be ordered with the seats and are fixed on the seats. Also the design of the seats must be different if there are bubbles on, so it's not as simple as it seems.

The reason why Krvavec does not have bubbles is exactly because of the winds. The bubbles are not as wind-resistant as bare seats so having the bubbles in windy areas is neither wise nor profitable.

^^ tnx and tnx for the explanation, but this is really stupid IMO, I thought the bubbles serve exactly for the reason to shield people from the wind :dunno:?

samo za informacijo...kupl na sedežnici (oz. balonov) na Krvavcu ni ravno zaradi premočnega vetra. Kupole so primerne za smučišča, ki niso tako izpostavljena kot Krvavec
