I thought I would share this pic with you guys. Was taken from Hillary's beach Perth on Australia Day, Jan 26. That's the McNaught comet...

Justme February 17th, 2007, 03:10 PM Amazing photo. I would image from a quick glance that it was taken with a wide fisheye lens, and then cropped at the top and bottom for this composure. Beautiful exposure, as it is normally quite difficult to get that time of the night well exposed with dark storm clouds on one side and bright sunset on the other. A subtle colour filter applied just right to give a nice overall hue and what amazing luck - to have it framed on one side with the fireworks (though somewhat over exposed, but that's unavoidable) and the lightning on the right. The comet was just the perfect bonus.
Damn, I would love to get a shot like that ;O)
