The Italian travertine and bronze glass cladded One Shell Square rises 697 feet into the sky. One Shell Square features a double tube system with a steel core and a concrete perimiter. The tower is the largest and tallest office high-rise in the state of Louisiana and is located at the heart of the New Orleans' Central Buisness District.

5/10 - Well, the stone certainly stands out from the glass...

BUT - It's basically a dull box, and it can't even dance in the light. It looks like a giant waffle, with yet another *GROAN* flat roof.

It looks like the architect put as little thought into the design as he or she could get away with....It reminds me of architectural lunch meat - just decide how much you want, and slice it to fit...

It isn't horrible, just borring and plain.

It adds alot to New Orleans, while boring it also has a degree of crisp-ness to it.. 7/10

6.5/10. *sneeze* Shell needs to move to newer talls. A simple waffle-iron box, but at least its Shell sister in Houston has that spire-n-antenna. Otherwise Nawlins' would have looked like shit. I'm the first one to notice this -- Shell Square needs a cleanup; in one pic it looked like soot is leaking from the windows.

A simple white box ... what more can you say?

Being the tallest in Louisiana, you'd think they'd have gone for something more imaginative.

The builders/designers/planners of this tower probably didn't want a complex, interesting building, they probably just wanted a building to house a few businesses. Nevertheless, 3.5 out of 10.
