Very similar to the Marriot Jakarta in Mega Kuningan area. Condos in that building are one of the finest living options in Jakarta for those who can afford it. The internal lay-out is very well designed! Some embassies have the permanent ambassador's residence there.

I hope they switch from apartment to condo because even at 200,000 b/sm, it would be worth the price!

Nope, There is an existing Renaissance Samui, and Renaissance Phuket is also coming.

Far from the BTS? It's all of five minutes away - nobody can walk anymore? And since the hotel part of the complex will be for visitors, those visitors no doubt (rightfully) acknowledge that taxis are simply part of the public transport grid in Bkk.

Pilling is about to starts, SEAFCO just moved into site.

Mostly Japanese and expats living in LOS :)

Thank you for the update & the great photos. I searched Marriott.com and the internet but there is nothing about this planned Renaissance ... well, other than some old (2006?) construction website (http://www.northcroft.co.th/currentproQS.html) that list completion date as Sept. 2011. Any other credible sources?

This is really a handsome skyscraper. It's such a shame these quality projects are so scattered in Bangkok. It would've been so great if it were clustered with other nice ones... Guess it'll take at least another decade for that area to dense up with quality high-rise stuff and the areas infrastructure to modernize...

Fantastic angle and shot Oasis! Really does this building justice. Like Imperfect Ending says looks very '1st world'. Let's see how long it takes before this area and the whole of Bangkok transitions into an 1st world urban environment (street scene, pavements and underground cables, layouts, etc.) I think that'll take an extra decade, if not a few.

I simply cannot imagine an organised Bangkok. The layers of 'WTF?!?!' run far too deep. Take any 1st world organised spot and wait 2 months and it will turn into the regular Bangkok "soup". Look at the front of Siam Square.
