Our friend Niki has recently returned from a weekend trip to Kish Island and she was kind enough to take some pics for us and get some intel about the flower of the east from Kish Island Tourist Information

Flower of The East:
Currently the ground work is going to for laying the foundations to the giant complex and it is set to be completed by 2009. The golf course (to be the largest in the Middle East may I add) is currently under construction (as we already know)...!

I forgot to tell shugs something really cool about flower of the east projectttt!!! they told me that they are building a canal IN the project. they are actually going to creat a path for the gulf water to pass trhough the entire land its gonna be awesome!! yep thts it lol

Also I don't want Kish to loose its relaxed atmosphere, its a cute little place... After all any place can have a load skyscrapers. Kish is only a tourist destination, not a main port for the world.

The first phase of Sun City was completed two years ago.. that was the smaller ones in the pic above... then they started construction on a set of highrises... I think theyve finished three of them (?)

^^ I think there are 2 highrises u/c (2 of them almost complete) on each side of the completed buildings.

That's not too expensive.. ~$1500/m2.. so for a 100m2 condo it would be £150k ~£90,000 stirling.. which is cheaper than Tehran, services are great, it's a beautiful place to live and there a tons of business opportunies.. wish I had some spare cash.. infact change that to from some to a lot... Love to live there.. have a small kite surfing school and drive a lambo which I bought from working in... something with high pay... maybe one day :D:D

i chose hotel dariush but it depends on what time u want to book ur trip i suggest not going to dariush i wasnt satisfied with their service they didnt even clean our room until we called them TWICE! and their staff members are so rude! its not what it used to be ... ANYWAYSS i booked a tour hotel+airfare=165000 T

and Shayan those villas are for ..Top officials to stay at ...not surprising

and the costs for those apartments are high one of the taxi drivers told me u get a wonderful view but the interior isnt filled with luxury and not worth the 1.5 million

i too am here for then enjoyment of th pictures, i am Iranian, and not Arab so it may not be what you think, I have lived in Iran and in Dubai, and well, what i can say is that the poeple who belive that Kish can compete with Dubai, are thinking Illogically, i am not here to put down Kish, as it is wonderfully developing and i am happy of that, just the advertisements for competion are far from the truth, I too know that Kish needs not to compete with Dubai, nor with Iran,

Kish looks beautiful and will look even better in the future when these proposals have finished. It's funny how little publicity Kish gets outside of Iran (and Middle East), possibly within the next 10 years Kish would be popular with most international tourists, it deserves the popularity.
