Gloin July 9th, 2011, 05:05 PM Great stadium!
I wish more such fantastic venues were built in Italy. Nowadays Serie A stadiums are simply getting more and more archaic and antiquated in comparison to other european countries (maybe except San Siro, Stadio Olimpico and the Sampdoria Genoa one). Italy has a lot to catch up...

Axelferis July 9th, 2011, 05:58 PM I don't think EA have an interest for ou future stadium in Lille. They under note all years the LOSC, we have the same level as Osasuna, Wigan or Chievo :ohno:. EA doesn't have interest for Ligue 1, and its stadium.
:nono: don't underestimate this aspect!
EA has a marketing view! All new stadiums across europe will be included years after years!
It is better for the image of the game to have top elite rated stadiums in their game.
Lonami will do the same you'll see. Turin,Istandul,Lille,Stockholm will have their new stadiums designed in the game.
Lille play also a spectacular football. Ask for children in france if they have to chose between players like hazard, moussa sow and Gignac & lucho
There's a bonus marketing for offensive teams. Sponsor like Adidas asked to olympique de marseille to be more ambitious in their way of playing it's a question of image nowadays at the time seeing the "champagne football" of FC barcelona
-Nice business seats . :)
Ash-> stop your agressivity if you don't want to meet me everytime for clashes ok? :ohno:

Yes... And its ok to critique also:) No problem.
It's the rubbish like Never being able to beat Juve on Fifa EA sports because refs favour Juve etc etc.. That's the stuff which gives you a bad reputation.
Anyway. Back to the delle alpi...:):) It's a gem!

1. In USA they dont play rugby, they play american football.
2. only one (small) part of the stadium has that luxury seats, and luxury stuff, but all new stadiums have it nowdays, but the rest of the stadium is made for fans.
Axelferis July 10th, 2011, 09:15 PM Mc donalds is like rats  they smell money maker near the statium
How many restaurants inside & directly around the stadium?
mosemar July 10th, 2011, 10:27 PM too many restaurants, it can be a problem for Juventus
Axelferis July 11th, 2011, 12:23 AM why? you mean "too" or "two"
R.K.Teck July 11th, 2011, 01:27 AM why? you mean "too" or "two"
I was thinking he means "Too many restaurants? Not a bad thing for Juve?"
secrane July 11th, 2011, 01:28 AM C'mon axel you've got the point, that's the most important...
Nobody told you if you meant "jewell" or jewel"

whats wrong with them?
barbados1 July 11th, 2011, 04:55 AM One question to everyone. Why does juve have a partnership with TELECOM ITALIA since they have so many ties with INTER and some of the persons who supposedly instigated the whole CALCIOPOLI scenario?
AzeemClark July 11th, 2011, 09:58 AM One question to everyone. Why does juve have a partnership with TELECOM ITALIA since they have so many ties with INTER and some of the persons who supposedly instigated the whole CALCIOPOLI scenario?
"But, due to the Statute of Limitations, there will be no further punishment. While Juventus will emerge as moral winners after a five-year struggle for justice, their current owners will not embark on the road for compensation for their wrongful relegation. With John Elkann's administration having made big sponsorship deals with Inter-influenced companies TIM and La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is zero possibility of action."
I am not sure but I think that the deals are made so that there is no loss to these companies because if they don't tie up with Juventus then they will be in trouble.

Telecom is not property of Tronchetti Provera at the moment. He sell the company 3-4 years ago.
So actually NO Inter in the society ;)

Andre_idol July 12th, 2011, 03:21 AM They perhaps will also put some nets behind the goals.
Will the inside (where you can see the sectors signs) be under more works? Hope so because that´s not a good concrete look...

Ah ok, cool.
Do you know if the nets will be box shaped, or the diagonal kind? That wooden plank running diagonally from the goal frame might just be a measurement, but I hope it doesn't end up diagonally.

A real success. It closed with big numbers the first phase of the campaign season tickets for the 2011/12 season, the first that Juventus will play in the new stadium.

Paulitos July 12th, 2011, 02:02 PM does anyone know the distance to the pitch for the more traditional stadiums like Anfield or Old Trafford. It will be nice to compare those numbers to Juve's new stadium
i think those stadiums are a little bit closer to the pitch , because they are old , All the new stadiums must have 7,5M (minimun) distance from stands to the pitch. It's the new Uefa requirements. Juventus stadium is 7,5m from the East/west stands to the pitch and 9M from stands to the goals line .
delsa July 12th, 2011, 02:21 PM and 9M from stands to the goals line .

yes

1.5 in the first project
0.73 in the middle one
at the end i think it is little bit more, about 1m
lennon. July 12th, 2011, 05:53 PM The angle of inclination of the juvenile stage is very pronounced, so I do not like much this stage, as the Allianz Arena, is uncomfortable for the viewer and while you got a very good visibility, it can cause vertigo and dangerous uncomfortable as well, to me the perfect angle of the first stand of the arsenal would be like the stadiums or the English in general.

Andrju_juvee July 12th, 2011, 06:30 PM 30 000 ??!! - if juve sold 30 000 it will be a big big suprise and fenomenal sucses ! i thinh the stadium will have maximum average for not only juve - inter , juve - milan but a few more matches

I think not yet 30,000 but getting there... slowly... slowly :)
Forza Juve July 12th, 2011, 07:15 PM i think the purpose is not to have a full house on juve-inter or juve-milan . :ohno:
i mean , even if juve had built a 60k stadium they would achieve that , but the reason behind the 41k capacity is to have a full house for every game , so the real big quastion here is how much fans will be in juve-siena or juve-catania ?
thats the real purpose and to be honest , juve is doing all to get to that point.

AshVentini July 12th, 2011, 08:51 PM Ah ok, cool.
Do you know if the nets will be box shaped, or the diagonal kind? That wooden plank running diagonally from the goal frame might just be a measurement, but I hope it doesn't end up diagonally.
No. They are just to prop up the goals posts for when the cement is drying around the vertical pillars.

AdiF July 13th, 2011, 05:59 AM does anyone knows about juve's logo placed above the stadium?
seems today not been installed...
i think it would be great if the logo is there
juve7 July 13th, 2011, 09:54 AM in my opinion 50 000 could be ideal for juve , but it is a problem in turin , if juve build his stadium in sicyly i think 60.000 could be :]
hmm... piedmont is bigger than sicily....
juvemikey July 13th, 2011, 10:16 AM i think the purpose is not to have a full house on juve-inter or juve-milan . :ohno:
i mean , even if juve had built a 60k stadium they would achieve that , but the reason behind the 41k capacity is to have a full house for every game , so the real big quastion here is how much fans will be in juve-siena or juve-catania ?
thats the real purpose and to be honest , juve is doing all to get to that point.
I agree and would go even further. Given the design of the stadium I think that it was designed to rid the stadium of ultras full stop. Juve like all other Italian clubs have always had an uneasy relationship with their ultra groups.Given current reports on ticket sales they don't seem to have been put of at all. As a Juve fan I hope that they behave themeselves. I can see trouble ahead with all six main groups being in the same stand. They will need to sort out their differences well before the stadium opens with regards to banners/leading the singing etc. It would be a spectacular show if they can do this but history of the groups in both the Olympico and Delle Alpi will make this difficult particularly at home games. Drughi leaders cannot even control the members of their own many factions. Here's hoping for something different this time. What do you all think

At the moment it is permanent but I think the Engineers will work on some other supports so that these rods can be removed.

sad to see it's started already. It's going to be hell once inside the stadium if they cannot even behave during club training. The policing on match days is sadly going to be intense to say the least after this. As said in an earlier post, I think that the design of the stadium was a deliberate move to get red of ultra groups without the club having to make a decision. Scenes like this even if isolated make the point difficult to argue with,

Juventus, over 20 thousand seasonal tickets sold
The boom on hold engagement of top players. That, they say, will further boost sales. Just as had happened in 2009-10 with the arrival of Diego and Felipe Melo
EFFECT stadium continues, for better or for worse. The last recorded data from the Ticket Office Juventus speak loud and clear: over 20 thousand tickets already sold for next season, the first new house in black and white. It's 6 thousand more than last year season passes. The whole, pending the engagement of the top players. That, they say, will further boost sales. Just as had happened in 2009-10 with the arrival of Diego and Felipe Melo (19,048 cards sold). It matters little at the box office if those two were more than a top player.
More than 20 thousand black and white fans have already bought the product at face value and work in progress. One thing amazing, considering the last two seasons of Del Piero and friends, out of Europe after twenty years of assiduous presence.
Are running low places for premium seats (100 Tribune, Boniperti, Gianni and Umberto Agnelli and Omar Sivori), complete with a rush to grab seats near the bench, included the stands, on the English model. A steal even the most expensive places, the Sky Box, antlers, deluxe seating areas to watch the game with a lot of buffets, television, refrigerator. It remained only four: the prices to range from 75 thousand 130 thousand euros.
It's just hype, even bewilderment, the soccer hooligan gang war to grab the best seats and free tickets for the new Delle Alpi: Drughi, Nucleo, Viking, Tradition and Good Guys: all together far too passionately, with the possibility of stories of brother-knives (Bardonecchia docet). The ultras, who until recently occupied the curves North and South of the Olympic Stadium, in fact, will have to divide the South Stand (subscriptions to 275 euros) - the area adjacent to the Family Stand (whole $ 400, under 18 and women reduced to 190 euros) - while the North Stand will be available to subscribers of the Juventus Club Doc, the most peaceful organized fans.
The internal feud to mark their territory, and make sure the second tier, the controls and greater visibility than the first, exploded last Friday just in Bardonecchia: stabbing a fan above the buttock, saloon scenes to experience pain, smoke bombs and bottles. Technical tests of cohabitation difficult, almost impossible. Talk Marchisio: "the things that have happened should never happen, more so in a vacation spot for families and children. Unfortunately there are those who think not only cheer for their team."
Everyone wants to say "I'll be there." Del Piero and we believe Agnelli: "The new facility will provide a dozen points to the team." And the chorus joins the same Marchisio: "The public, close to us as never before, will be the twelfth man on the field. We hope that the new stadium will help us to change the course of these last two years." Noble assumptions and appeals to the true typhoid, but also opportunities and risks - we must have the courage to say so - to further ignite tempers already lit, with the excuse of eternal love and frustration of recent events.
Ticket prices will be modulated according to the opponent, time of day. Example: Juventus-Siena on Sunday afternoon will cost much less than Juve-Inter on Saturday night. A growing, waiting for the September 8, the opening day, when Juventus will face in a big friendly between Manchester United, Real Madrid or Bayern Monaco. The ceremony will be assigned to K-Mark Events Balich, one of the most creative producer of events in the world. Those, to be clear, the opening and closing ceremonies of the Games of Turin 2006 and the baptism of fireworks Donbass Arena in Donetsk, Ukraine.

Hahaha and "better chances" is the key wording of this statement here! As Zamparini stated earlier in the week , something along the lines of building in Italy " Something that takes 3 months in say Austria, takes 5 years in Italy'!
Ain't that the honest truth! I hope the other cheap owners take a page from Juve's book and build, build, build, or Serie A quality will CONTINUE to plummet along with their UEFA coefficient!

Yes I agree, the exterior tri-color poles are an amazing landmark for Torino. However, I'm guessing that the quote is referring to the interior cables, which I have to admit is such a slight on Italian engineering.
This is the type of mistake I would be more inclined to see on the construction of the poland/ukraine stadia with their engineering prowess.

Whats wrong with the poles? They look beautiful and are well colored and like in this photo you can see the stadium from far away with the help of the poles :)
Its like a landmark and also these poles will be the logo of the stadium.
master_klon July 20th, 2011, 08:58 AM I think many still would. And I would find their displeasure very well-grounded
I dont know what others know about this stadium site, but there used to be a stadium on it called Stadio delle Alpi which had similar poles. I think that it's a great idea to incorporate that history into the new Juventus Arena.

As much as the stadium is fantastic I have to agree with you on the cables. The mistake still annoys me. I would have thought that with state of the art technology this schoolboy error should have been avoided and if nothing else is embarrassing for the constructors. Their does not seem to be any easy solution as it would have been fixed by now. I also wonder about player safety.
Also, does anyone have an opinion on the following-
- Stadium supposed to open Sept. 8th. Actual fixtures not out yet. What happens if the authorities do not allow us to play first game or two away from Torino.
- With new stadia in other parts of europe- particularly U.K/Spain/France and Germany you cannot get a safety pass for a new stadium without playing one/two practice games first.
- Talking with friends in Torino they think that other clubs will not be happy with us asking the authorities for a favour regardingthe first couple of fixtures, although they do not think that Inter will object unless the first fixtures with us involves a game against them,

davegahan July 21st, 2011, 08:36 AM These are both very minor things. I am sure logic will prevail.
Why can't Juve play the first one or two home fixtures at the Olimpico?
They've played there in the last 5 seasons and they've also played there before the old Delle Alpi was built?
Do they really need to play the first home fixtures away from Torino before they get permission to use the new stadium?

It's clear now, thanks!
Anyway, I hope that more people buy season tickets (up to 30.000, hopefully) and the stadium gets filled every match. It is something the Juve have been missing for quite a while. The atmosphere would be amazing with 40.000 fans in a stadium with no athletic track.

Sorry, but i dont agree with that. Delle Alpi was in design not a bad stadium, but the stands where too far from the pitch and it was never really full. This stadium will be better for Juve. It is certainly looking stunning.

I correct you, the Olimpico is 28k but this is not the point. Juventus said goodbye forever to that stadium. And thanks God! I hated it for what it represented in the last 5 years.
I don't know what's the problem of playing the first match away from Torino...

gavstar00 July 22nd, 2011, 12:17 PM This may already have been answered (apologies if so) but have the original plans to have the Juvenile crests positioned above the halfway line on the roof been shelved? They really added that little bit extra to the overall design I thought
Fab87 July 22nd, 2011, 12:19 PM We don't know if they have been shelved. We just suppose so, since lights have been placed where the crest was supposed to be.

So true. This stadium is the future of stadiums in Italy I hope. You don't need a 80,000 seat stadiums. Smaller (40 to 50k) and more intimate stadiums that can show the energy of the crowd good on TV is all that is needed. Hopefully Roma can get their stadium project off the ground after getting new ownership.
According to Wiki it was 105 million euros which sounds a bit low for what is shown. Red Bull Arena in New York cost that much and it only seats 25k.

Well considering juventus official first samples then last official ones & the renderings in fifa game and possible pes its about 80% right other percent need to be adjusted like that gap in concrete will not exist it was covered with turf or at least alike green colour.
Also interesting the difference premium positions and seats not really visible the difference. And the pexi glass its normal its not visible they are sort of barriers although very thin & small they look unreal in games.
Last but not least that amazing emblem need to be still built there in real world & i must say it's one of the best emblems in terms of colour contrast and shape along with content & uniqueness........

exact cost we can't know in my opinion because were not builders neither in managerial positions of juventus but it's estimate 158million dollars don't know how much euros that is.
but we have to consider that the materials were recycled,it's partly was built on the stong base of the old delle alpi which was very strong and huge considering if they wanted they could have made it 120k + seater even removing track in it & the areas around it named continassa which is also one of the biggest if not the biggest & the old delle alpi was sold to juventus its not property of torino.
considering even juventus made restructering for olimpico till the new one was built the cost including these things the cost would be easily 280-320 million dollars i think as i said before don't know how much euros..
you tell me allianz arena is higher but i tell you its for 2 teams & national team & it has 55-70k capacity i think so from 40k to 70k there is easily 50 million dollars more considering more seats more boxes & cameras, more security etc.
As for base it was demolished well & refurbished although it was of 1990's so not that old it was still different built including oval from squared new one but trust with demolishing some parts & constructing on some old base ground it doesn't mean it's cheap because trust me delle alpi was big & intimidating even for own supporters.
Saying that i say the old temple is still with us so in europe i will be glad if it's still called delle alpi with maybe only change arena with stadium. In italy it will be called with sponsor name i hope samsung, sony, adidas, nike arena :)

Axelferis July 23rd, 2011, 12:27 PM agree with this. This is a TRUE football stadium. Dell alpi was a nightmare when you see empty tribunes everytime. Too cold too big for a public that never demanded such a big infrastructure.
The new suits much more a city like turin which is not the biggest of italy
Harry1990 July 23rd, 2011, 12:37 PM congrats Juve fans on a cracking stadium, can't wait to see a game here maybe one day in the future. just a couple of questions do you know if it can be expanded in the future? 40k is a bit small for Juve surely given their size, especially in good facilities alot of the fans who didn't watch in the previous ground would come back
and has there been any rumour of the italian rugby team playing there i know the left their previous groud the stadio flaminio last year and isn't rugby better supported in the north of the country than in rome?

Yes, one is Platini and the second is Gaetano Scirea. The stars stands for the number of italian serie a winners... Every 10 scudetti (serie a winner) you get one star on your shirt (strip)...

The other is Scirea. Platini as you say.
Two stars indicate scudetto wins. 1 star is 10 league wins.
On their shirt they have two stars. They have 29 league wins.
Look at Inter or Milan. Only 1 star. they do not have 20 league titles.

Bayern wrote personally to West Ham warning them not go into the new London Olympic Stadium. Juve have finally got out of the stadiums with running tracks and Roma have plans to move out of the Stadio Olimpico into a new 55,000 seater without a track. Spurs said they wouldn't take on a stadium with a running track and still want to build their own stadium. Although the San Siro doesn't have a running track, Inter Milan also want their own stadium so if this is a success I'd expect to see one or two other new stadium developments in Italy.

The next one will be Cagliari for sure. Then Udinese will renovate the Friuli Stadium, Inter and Milan still will play at San Siro for so long. Roma and Lazio the same, without a law no one would build anything in Italy.

West Ham are not that naive. They'll take the stadium, and within a decade they will have convinced the necessary people that it needs to be redeveloped. Their only priority is taking the stadium over anyone else. People who think its going to retain its track long term are deluded.

Inter and Milan have agreed to stay at and upgrade the San Siro until 2016. Then it is anyone's guess as to what will happen from then. Milan will probably stay but Inter are set to build a new stadium (one that will be much more modern, have a slightly smaller capacity and be close to their current home).

Firstly Westham can't afford to renovate it and they've agreed with the council it will stay in it's current form. The council are paying the £40 Million needed to get it ready for football after the games. That Olympic stadium isn't going to be turned into a proper football stadium without big big money which is something only a select few clubs in the country could afford to do.

Both you are assuming that I meant this will happen immediately after 2012 Olympics. By 2030 the Olympic stadium will be rectangular. If both of you honestly think West Ham are going head first into this thinking that they're going to occupy a stadium with a track for the next 50+ years, then there's not much more I can say.
More than a stadium, West Ham want this because of the land its on, and because of the transport links it has. The stadium itself is somewhat irrelevant here, as they'll find a way to change within the next few decades. Of course, you can think otherwise. But if West Ham went public with the fact that they were going to do something like this, we'd be talking about how great Spurs new stadium is going to look instead.
By then, Spurs will have already made their own move. There will be no grounds, or reason, to sue.
It may sound like crazy talk, but its the most logical outcome in all of this. The Olympic stadium will be rectangular at SOME point in the future. All the talk about legacy is pertinent now... in 20 years time most of the stuff people are discussing now will be irrelevant.
Harry1990 July 25th, 2011, 02:36 PM yes but that is all ifs and buts they are probably strict rules given to west ham that they have to retain to running track especially as the athletics ground at crystal palace as that will probably get built on by the football club for a new venue. which means that West Ham would probably have to buy the OS outright off newham council which would not be cheap and then the cost of converting to a rectulanger stadium.
if they are that bothererd by atmosphere, they i mean gold and sullivan, they would have just expanded Upton Park instead of going into an athletics stadium. they must know it will have a poor atmosphere but they will still be getting rich from it so will not care one jot what the fans think.
i haven't spoken to any hammers fans that actually want to move there

alabro July 27th, 2011, 07:46 PM Guys, i dont know much about grass, but Im assuming the patchy look will go away once the grass is watered and mowed. Is that right?
Once a pitch is laid like this, it takes some time to settle in and knit together, which is helped by time and mowing. But it's important to allow it to knit together and not have any games on it or events too soon. That's one of Wembley's biggest problems.
Would much prefer to see them seed a pitch and grow it naturally, especially in new grounds where they have the time to do it, and it wouldn't take too long in the summer months for it to grow, and gives a much better surface IMO.
Stadium is looking fantastic though! Like the touches like artificial grass up to the stands instead of a track, and the fact that the stairs from the stands seem to be retractable!

I dont understand....do you mean Inter or AC Milan will be 5th or below? If thats what you mean, then your predictions are not offensive, you're just a crazy gambler. I wouldnt bet on that though
A more reasonable one would be
1. AC Milan
2. Inter Milan
3. Dogfight (Napoli, Juve, Lazio, Roma)
Biggest threat IMO is Roma, cause they look like they have a project and are willing to spend. With a strong squad I think we can over-run Napoli & Lazio in the season.
Imagine a champions league night at this stadium. Juventus vs Valencia (random oppenent). Music in the background before the kick -off (We are the CHAMPIONS.....) It just gives me goosebumps.
If we get CL football next season, Delle Alpi will scare opposition away.
FORZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA JUVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
areve July 28th, 2011, 09:40 AM I hope this new stadium will be a fortress to our new players, so that opponent fight hard to win in our place.
And anyone know if we gonna have any patterns on the field?
Fab87 July 28th, 2011, 10:08 AM Stadium is looking fantastic though! Like the touches like artificial grass up to the stands instead of a track, and the fact that the stairs from the stands seem to be retractable!
Yes they are retractable :)
Axelferis July 28th, 2011, 10:19 AM wich stands?
Fab87 July 28th, 2011, 11:51 AM wich stands?
Not the stands, the small stairs that connect the stands to the pitch are retractable.

That may be, but I agree they still look cheap (personal opinion only, not trying to prove anything).
davegahan July 29th, 2011, 08:39 AM The seats look great and the whole stadium is awesome.
Although I'm a Liverpool FC supporter, I have a great admiration for Juve and all that this massive club stands for.
Turin seems a very beautiful place to visit also.
I hope one day I'll be able to travel to Turin, visit the city and watch Juve at the new stadium.

they look cheap because they seem to be made out only of plastic. As a matter of fact, they're not :)
AzeemClark July 29th, 2011, 10:55 AM Whatever the seats may be but I think they are beautiful. We also have to keep in mind that this seating arrangement were specially designed by Pininfarina and these seats play a big part also acting like pixels in different colors. Platini, Scirea, Stars and changing from White to Black. One of the best seating arrangement :)

no the seats are from "Mondo" an italian firm best known for the production of sports flooring, especially coats for athletics tracks and synthetic turf, Mondo has been selected for the ninth time in a row as the official supplier of the Olympic Games in London 2012. Mondo is a specialized manufacturer of commercial and industrial flooring of high quality. The company also is the largest producer of toys and balls for outdoor games. Also designs and manufactures the world renowned motor yachts at the shipyards of the division called Mondomarine.
these seats in particular are an exclusive just for Juventus Fc at the moment. They are very resistant against vandalism and fires despite the appearance
