CEB cuts fares by 50% in early Christmas system-wide seat sale

THE largest Philippine national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (CEB) offers a 50 percent off Christmas seat sale to all of its destinations, from December 4-5, 2010 or until seats last, for travel from February 1-28, 2011.

CEB flies to 16 international destinations, namely: Brunei, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Osaka, Busan, Seoul (Incheon), Macau, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Taipei, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh.

It flies from Manila, Cebu and Clark to Singapore and Hong Kong, offering the most extensive route network to the popular international destinations.

CEB also flies to the most number of Asean destinations from the Philippines, and is the only low-cost carrier from the Philippines to the three major North Asian countries of South Korea, China and Japan.

Last year My Stepfather (who already passed away tuig ugma) is being confined due to his stomach operation.. nakita nako mga pasyente ang uban kay naa na sa hallway gibutangan nalang ug bed just to accomodate but louy kayo lantawon..

Second, i agree with him about sa pagpili sa mga senators dapat by region para well represented but my question is.. what's the purpose of congressmen then?? :ohno:

It is approximately 12 kilometers from Tangub City.

In 1996, fifteen (15) years ago, Loreto Leo S. Ocampos, a passionate lover of nature made a significant landmark in the area.

He made use of the different sizes of volcanic stones available on the site.

Together with the settlers, started breaking the stones and cut them into slabs at different sizes and pieces.

When enough stones were cut, they built a UNIQUE STONE CHAPEL which became a history and a landmark of Hoyohoy.

Today it has become a point of interest and a tourist destination.

Ten years ago, a hut was built adjacent to the Stone Chapel for the family to stay and rest while at Hoyohoy.

By the way, I heard that a Chinese businessman is now building his 168 retail shop in Ozamis. How true? ^^

what i know is that the ibjt agora in Ozamiz is being offered to metro gaisano
and other interested mall developer for possible lease or sale of the bus terminal lot since the city is planning to construct north and south bus terminals.
never heard of 168 shop here but Novo dept store constructed a 4 storey bldg in a new location. they just opened their store recently and soon their Novotel.
it would be nice to have savemore in Ozamiz.

i got info from city hall that robinsons supermarket will lease the ground floor of geege Mall supermarket.
i also heard this from geege mall staff including their tenants inside the
mall but we still need to verify this since there is still no official
statement from geege mall owner or from our city officials :)

a friend of mine from city hall told me that Mayor Nova mentioned the
plan of robinsons supermarket to lease the grocery area of Geege mall
during her meeting with officers of Fil-chinese chamber of commerce
and peace and order council meeting recently :smug:

More than half of Lanao Norte come to Ozamiz city to shop.
if you include population of Oroquieta city, tangub city, Molave, and majority of Lanao Norte, thats a big market to ignore :)

GLOBE Telecom says it has breached the 1-million mark in postpaid subscription.
It said in a statement released yesterday, Globe said it “currently has over 1 million postpaid subscribers” and counting as it launched another new offer for its postpaid subscribers to make international roaming more convenient and affordable.




The Ayala-controlled telco claims it is the leader in the postpaid category with revenues reaching P10.126 billion as of third quarter of 2010. Globe did not disclose exact figures but earlier it revealed in its nine-month financial report that it registered over 980,000 postpaid subscribers at end-September. The cellular firm is expected to report its full-year results, which include subscriber count, in February next year.

To entice more subscribers to get hooked with Globe’s postpaid plans, the cellular firm introduced PowerRoam. It is a promotional offer that allows postpaid subscribers to enjoy up to 75-percent savings on roaming rates while they are traveling abroad.

PowerRoam comes in three variaqnts—Plan 499, Plan 999 and Plan 2999. All three variants are valid for 30 days.

“Looking closely into the lifestyles of our postpaid subscribers, international roaming is among the must-haves for these customers. Globe is a step ahead in making international roaming service worry-free and affordable to our subscribers. We have more than 600 roaming partners in hundreds of destinations around the world, making Globe the most accessible provider of international roaming services. Now, the introduction of PowerRoam offers another plus for Globe as we allow our postpaid subscribers to stay connected while saving up to 75 percent on regular roaming rates,” said Martha Sazon, head of postpaid marketing.

MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom, Inc. said the number of its broadband Internet subscribers has ballooned by 95% in the past nine months, inching closer to market leader and rival Smart Communications, Inc.



In a statement on Friday, Globe Telecom said it now has 1,006,460 broadband subscribers, compared with 517,355 in the same period last year.

“The figure is nearly double [last year’s] and does not include those subscribers availing of mobile surfing offers,” the firm said.

Ernest L. Cu, Globe Telecom president and chief executive officer, said in the same statement his company expected the growth trajectory to continue until the year ends.

“We are seeing robust growth in subscriber take up for our Digital Subscriber Line (DSL), Broadband Tattoo and Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) offers especially in the provinces,” he said.

Mr. Cu also noted that the company had a compounded annual growth rate of 123% in broadband users since 2006.

“Globe WiMAX subscribers surpassed the 100,000 mark last July. We have now one of the largest WiMAX deployments in Southeast Asia, while other providers are just starting to roll out their services for the at-home broadband market,” he said.

The firm described WiMAX as a “next-generation fixed wireless broadband technology for areas not covered by traditional wired Internet solutions.”

“We are covering nearly 60 provinces and 365 cities in the country including Metro Manila; Caloocan City; Cainta, Antipolo and Taytay in Rizal; Plaridel in Bulacan; Cabanatuan in Nueva Ecija; Dasmariñas, Bacoor, Imus and Tanza in Cavite; Calamba in Laguna; Batangas City; Cebu City; Cagayan de Oro; and Zamboanga,” he said.

Smart Communications earlier claimed to have 1.3 million broadband subscribers, with about seven million more surfing the Internet through mobile phones.

Napoleon L. Nazareno, Smart Communications president and chief executive officer, told reporters the company was not affected by other companies’ claims of being No. 1 in broadband.

“The market share we have revenue-wise is 12% to 16%, and 59% of the actual number of subscribers. The market share had gone up,” he said

MANILA, Philippines - Globe Telecom Inc. said on Thursday that field trials for the long-term evolution (LTE) technology will last until next year before it can determine the best approach and strategy for its adoption in the country.



During a recent demonstration of the latest standard in the mobile-network technology, Globe head for network technologies strategy Emmanuel Estrada said Phase 2 of the field trials will commence soon after the company successfully concluded the first phase.

Phase 1 trial achieved up to 60Mbps downlink data throughput rate at 10MHz bandwidth.

“The Phase 1 test was very successful. We and supplier NEC have agreed to take on the next level. The objective of the tests is all about collective learning of the LTE technology,” said Estrada.

The LTE trials started early this year in partnership with NEC Corp.

“Globe sustains its network buildup and continues to look out for latest mobile technologies that will benefit the Philippine market. As we see mobile broadband growing and more subscribers clamoring for faster and higher bandwidths, LTE will help us meet the customers’ demand and further improve our broadband service offering in the near future,” said Estrada.

At end-September, the broadband subscriber base of Globe grew by 95 percent to 1,006,460, nearly double the 517,355 broadband subscribers reported in the same period last year.

He said commercial deployment of LTE will depend on three issues—frequency availability, devices supporting LTE technology and infrastructure.

“Right now, we are using the spectrum in the 2100-megahertz bandwidth for LTE trials. It’s called refarming, but there is a need to work with regulators and acquire spectrum to launch LTE,” said Estrada.

LTE is a high-performance air interference technology for cellular mobile. After 2G and 3G, LTE is seen as the next frontier in radio technologies designed to increase the capacity and speed of mobile-telephone networks. It addresses the demand for higher data rates and increased quality of service and enables users to experience the fastest mobile-broadband service up to 100 megabytes per second.

LTE will not only make existing mobile-phone applications run faster, but will pave for new functions that were previously available only on a wired Internet connection. With LTE, multimedia content and applications can be made available in real time.

But heard over CDO Mayor's radio program yesterday that a certain Parojinog(Rolando??? not sure about the name) talked to him to convince SM to put up a Savemore in Ozamiz. And yes,he was able to convince SM and now they're currently looking for a potential site for the said development. :)
