last month ang gaisano nag extend cla taman 8PM during Saturday & Sunday pero karon gibalik na nila sa naandan kay mingaw na kuno..
wala lang pod cguro na aware ang tawo sa ila sched. mao wala na kau mosulod pag 7PM na.

na murag lisod gyud na gold.. ang limketkai gani dre sa cdo kay 10am mag open then 8pm magclose.. :(

kulang lang cguro to ug advertisment ang gaisano.. dapat gapa motorcade sila nga ga extend silag time para makabalo tanang ozamiznon.. :)

MISAMIS Oriental Governor Oscar Moreno is reportedly planning to put up ferry boats that would travel from Laguindingan to Camiguin Island and Ozamiz City as part of the intermodal transportation system master plan of the Laguindingan Airport Development Project (LADP) in preparation for the airport’s smooth operation in the first quarter of 2012.

Maricel Casiño-Rivera, head of the Provincial Press Office, said the new special task force formed that would handle the other developments outside the LADP area will develop the seaport for the convenience of the passengers.

Rivera said it would be a long route if people travel by land whereas if they will be provided with ferry boats, it would only take one ride in going to the airport.

She said the LADP is conceived to provide airport facilities that will accommodate commercial air service to cater to the increasing number of passenger and cargo traffic along the Cagayan de Oro-Iligan Corridor (CIC), which is seen to boost the economic development in the region and improve air transportation safety.

“Since this is a big project of Moreno, he wants it to be perfect as much as possible which will qualify for international standards,” Rivera said

She also said that during the airport’s full operation, heavy traffic is expected to occur along the area, which might cause delays to passengers and other vehicles heading east.

Rivera said the special task force had already identified traffic management for convenient airport access from various strategic locations to address possible vehicular congestion.

“The national highways of Cagayan-Iligan road have existing two-way lanes that would not accommodate the inflow of vehicles once the airport starts its operation,” Rivera said.

She said the special task force is pushing for the prioritization and provision of funding from the national government for the development of a four-lane road along the Cagayan-Iligan corridor.

“The special committee will identify the land areas that will be hit by the road widening and negotiations with the lot owners will be executed,” Rivera said.

She added that a long-range land use plan shall be prepared to guide the orderly growth of the airport over the next 20 years while taking into account the needed flexibility of economic opportunities that might arise.

Rivera said Moreno and his group would initiate the formulation of a Laguindingan Airport master plan to make the optimal use of the airport and set out how it shall handle the growing demand for air travel in the coming years while considering the economic, social and environmental dimensions of the airport's operation within 2015 and 2030.

"The master plan will likewise ensure that the airport will hasten and create employment, growth and economic wealth to the people of Northern Mindanao," she said.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will soon be accessible to more motorists in Mindanao as a new showroom and service center is set to open in Ozamiz City.

The facility, under Fast Autoworld Philippines Corporation (FAPC), covers a 2,670-square meter showroom located at the National Highway in Barangay Gango. FAPC also runs Mitsubishi sales and service outlets in Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dumaguete and Tagbilaran.

Mitsubishi Philippines said the new showroom is expected to be fully operational by September following the recent groundbreaking ceremony led by Dante Santos, MMPC's first vice president for sales and marketing, and FAPC chairman Victor Chiongbian.

Mitsubishi is the second bestselling brand in the Philippines, next only to Toyota.

In 2010, a total of 32,422 Mitsubishi vehicles were sold in the Philippines, which represents a 39 percent growth over sales in the previous year.

A Filipino-American writer-photographer is banking on the support of her fellow Fil-Am netizens, after being selected as one of six finalists in a photo contest of an international science-oriented magazine.

Philippine-born Yen Baet, currently based in England, is the only Filipino to make it to the finals of the National Geographic Photo Contest. She is now vying for the grand prize: a nine-day tour for two through Peru.

“I happen to be the only Filipino who made it to the finals, and it goes without saying that I am proud to represent the country," Baet said in an e-mail to GMA News Online.

Baet, a native of Ozamiz City in Misamis Occidental, is a freelance photographer, who also writes and paints, according to her online profile.

Her entry, titled “Rainy Night in Hallstatt", was taken two years ago during a rainy autumn in the scenic village of Hallstatt in Austria.

“Braving the pouring rain under a small umbrella… protecting my camera, I trudged up the hill to where I would take my shot… and there it was, the church sitting quietly on the still lake, grazed by wisps of low-lying clouds, and embraced in soft mystical light. sa pagkakaron wala jud available nga existing bldg nga pang supermarket sa ozamiz.
mas maayo kung magtukod sila sa ilang bldg. daghang kaayo bakante nga lote sa Ozamiz,
anyway, 1 storey bldg ra man pud ang SM savemore hasta ilang SM hypermart :)

gamay ra man gastos sa bldg para sa SM savemore.
ang location dapat ang tagaan nila priority hehe
the best locations are agora area, circumferential road ug manabay hiway jud :)

they can rent some warehouse in circumferential, lam-an highway.

bitaw... ana na lang jud. daghan kaayo warehaus sa circumferential road :cheers:

Gaisano can build at least 4 floors if they like but to do the piles and mat foundation would also be expensive. I'm sure they would do this if they plan for the future. However if they say its done in 6 months then I would think otherwise.

we still have to confirm that. The new 4 storey Novo Dept store and Novotel was
also done in such a short period of time.
its bldg is supported by large steel posts without covering it with concrete.
well, i hope the same construction technology or deisgn will also be applicable

as per news sa local tv diri ozc, si congressman leo ang nangusog na ibalhin tungod kay ang tag-iya jud sa yuta sa city engineer's office kay ang dpwh man.. pra mkuha og balik ang yuta, ibalhin jud ang dpwh sa tangub to ozc.. hmmm... i smell somethins ahhh..

dungan pagbisita sa mga taga SM savemore last monday pud sa iya office.
gusto ni mayor nova nga dili lang supermarket ang i-open sa Robi.
ang tapad ra ba ana nga vacant lot nga 8,000+ sqm ky foreclosed na sa BDO
ug aware na ang taga RLC ana.
ang possible prob ani kuno ky kung kuhaon sa SM ang lote nga foreclosed BDO ug dili ibaligya sa Robi.
anyway, daghan pa man pud bakante sa agora.
wala pa man pud nag-divulge ang SM savemore sa ilang possible location sa Ozamiz :)

Ozamiz City confers new batch of Pabasa sa Nutrisyon graduates
BW Mindanao

THE Ozamiz City Nutrition Committee has conferred the 2010 new batch of 577 Pabasa sa Nutrisyon (PSN) graduates from 51 barangays in the city during the 3rd Pabasa sa Nutrisyon Congress held on February 22, 2011 at the Congressman Hilarion J. Ramiro gymnasium.

The 577 training graduates are mothers/care¬givers of malnourished preschool children, pregnant women, lactating mothers and women of reproductive age designed to reduce the level of undernourished children especially in the countryside.

Pabasa sa Nutrisyon is a nutrition education approach involving the sustained active participation of women and men in the barangay in the learning process thru the leadership and support of local government chief executives, program managers and local nutrition workers.

It is also considered an informal and fun way of discussing healthy practices with mothers. The Pabasa has been imple¬mented widely through government agencies and non-government organi-zations. It also provides educational materials and tools for health and nutrition education.

Since its inception in Ozamis City in 2004, the City Nutrition Committee has already produced a total of 4, 874 graduates todate.

The program is in line with the vision of the city government which remains dedicated and committed to be an emerging progressive city whose people are healthy, well-nourished, well-informed, economically-productive and self-sufficient.
This vision is translated into a mission of providing Ozamiznons with an improved quality of life through effective nutrition program implementation, among others.

Guided with these vision and mission, the City Nutrition Committee (CNC) of Ozamiz under City Nutrition Chairman Hon. Mayor Nova Princess Echavez- Parijinog has implemented innovative community-based projects that maximized partnerships and multisectoral involvement.

Based on 2010 Operation Timbang (OPT) results 672 underweight and 95 severely underweight children were served by the city. Malnutrition went down because of our programs such as supplementary feeding for the malnourished children.

“Without doubt, the effective implementation of Pabasa sa Nutrisyon has contributed greatly to the steady reduction of the prevalence of undernutrition among our preschool children from 10.09% in 2004 to 6.55% in 2009 (based on International Reference Standards),” Ms. Navarez said.

With the shift from IRS to WHO- Child Growth Standard in 2010, the prevalence rate further declined to 5.53%, she said.
Ozamiz City, led by Mayor Nova Princess E. Parojinog-Echavez, who also chairs the City Nutrition Committee, takes pride in having received its 1st and 2nd Outstanding Pabasa sa Nutrisyon Awards in 2008 and 2009, respectively, and the Exemplary Pabasa sa Nutrisyon Award in 2010.

These recognitions were also attributed to concerted effort and commitment of the City Nutrition Committee, Barangay Nutrition Committees (BNCs), Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Health Workers, and the community people who truly enjoyed Pabasa sa Nutrisyon through the years.

Likewise, during the conferment, 51 participants were named Outstanding Graduates and were given citations and medals.

A joint activity was also launched during the affair – the city’s milk-feeding program and the “One Nutrition, One Nation Movement”.

Gracing the event were city government officials led by Mayor Echavez, and Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Zenaida T. Tondares of National Nutrition Council X.

IMO, ang perfect locations para sa SM savemore in terms of lot size and accessebility
1. vacant lot fronting MUHS in circumferential road.
2. vacant lot near MU Manor Hotel, same side (kanang rice field nga gisugdan ug tambak na karon, sus gid kalooy sa humay hehe )
3. warehaus dool MOELCI office. murag gi-abangan man siguro sa Selecta na karon
ky daghan selecta freezer sa gawas man gud
4. vacant lot tapad sa Rural bus compound sa agora :)

Kung walay building nga marentahan ang Savemore, willing kaha sila mutokod ug ilang kaugalingon nga building? Murag halos man siguro Savemore stores kay nag rent ra sila.

mao pud lagi .... anyway barato ra man pud ang cost sa pag-construct ug supermarket type nga bldg hehe
kaya kaayo na sa SM.
ngano pud kaha naabot ang taga SM Savemore sa Ozamiz ug pangita ug pwesto noh?

SuperFerry brings back Todo-Todo Sail Sale

SUPERFERRY brings back its nationwide Todo-Todo Sail Sale along with its resumption of services to Puerto Princesa City in Palawan.

Tickets from Manila to Puerto Princesa and Visayas, and vice versa, are sold at P588, while for Mindanao, the promo fare is P888.

This sale from March 16 to 18 is for passengers traveling from April 1 to June 30.

After more than a year, SuperFerry will be resuming its trips to Puerto Princesa starting March 25, 2011.

"This allows us to reconnect with our regular travelers to and from Palawan while at the same time bringing Puerto Princesa tourist destinations more accessible to a greater number of people," said SuperFerry VP for Marketing Andrew Deyto.

Todo-Todo Sail Sale also offers fares starting at P250 for passengers traveling among selected interport routes.

The P250 fares are offered for voyages from Cebu to Cagayan de Oro, Butuan and Surigao and vice versa for as low as P250.

The rate starts at P500 for round trips from Iloilo to Cagayan de Oro and Iligan while for trips from Iloilo to Davao and General Santos, the promo fare is P750.

The sale is also offered in the following interports -- Bacolod-Cotabato, Bacolod-Zamboanga and Zamboanga-General Santos.

Todo-Todo Sail Sale's rates will also apply to children aged three to 11 years old if the sale rate is lower than the existing child rate.

"SuperFerry's Todo-Todo Sail Sale makes us still one of the lowest-priced fares compared to other alternatives, especially since the 12 percent VAT and the fuel surcharge are already reflected in these rates," Deyto said.

He added that passengers will get the lowest possible fares if they book online through www.superferry.com.ph.

SuperFerry also provides up to 50 kilograms free baggage allowance for each passenger. Porterage services are also available for a minimal fee.
