Meanwhile, Mr. Gerard Hilarion Ramiro in an interview with this weekly confirms that the celebrations will definitely starts on November 2 based on Historical Dates that this is the Founding Day of the province and supported with SP Ordinance No. 08-11.

Pa’sungko S’g Mis Occ 2011will be a two week long celebrations with the usual search for the Mutia ng Mis Occ 2011, OTOP Agri-Trade Fair, Anniversary Program, Street Dancing And Showdown, Jobs Fair, PGMO Sports Championship Games, PGO Family Fun Day and Employees Nigt, Medical Mission, Clean-Up Day, and other minor events that will put the province in its pedestal once again as its tourism industry now in a fast track endeavor.

“Yes, this time Pasungko Sig MisOCC 2011 will be a two week celebration for we have experienced during the 1st Pasungko, people from all walks of life said ”Bitin kayo mi ” or we need more, that is whay we have to add more days to cope with their expectation to the 2nd Pasungkothis year.” Provincial Tourism Council Chairman Ramiro said.

Meanwhile Governor Hermie M. Ramiro who came to attend the Presentation of Candidates from another special activity, this time at her commemoration of his late husband birthday, Dr. Hilarion Ramiro Jr, former Secretary of Health and Former Congressman of the 2nd District of Misamis Occidental, the governor in her messages said that the 2nd Pa’sungko S’g Mis Occ 2011 is another milestone of her administration especially the GO HERMIE Agenda amidst problems she stand strong for the province progress and development.

Governor Ramiro added that even the province is facing financial limitations her administration allocates fund for the anniversary, “Nasugdan na nato ni, ato kining ipadayon ug dili kita mo undang, and really do our best as we want to sell the province as a tourist destination, nahibalo ka daghan kaayong potentials sa atong mga kalungsuran.” She said in the vernacular.

Fugitive Korean in Palace photo-op arrested

MANILA, Philippines - A South Korean fugitive who bolted the Bureau of Immigration (BI) detention cell in Taguig City around four years ago was re-arrested by agents of the International Police (Interpol) who tracked him down in Ozamis City last week. Hang Mok You, 50, of Yean Su Gu Yen Su Dong, Inchun, South Korea was nabbed by Interpol and BI agents along with local police last Tuesday at the Mt. Malindang Golf and Country Club in Barangay Bagakay in Ozamis.

The arrest came after Mok You resurfaced last year in Malacañang in the company of Misamis Occidental Rep. Leo Ocampos, said to be his business partner, and was seen shaking hands with President Aquino.

The South Korean national is now back at the BI detention facility in Bicutan while awaiting deportation to South Korea to face various charges, including large-scale estafa cases.

Mok You entered the Philippines to escape prosecution in Korea and subsequently established his business here. He reportedly partnered with Ocampos in a golf driving range business in Ozamis City.

“From what we’ve learned, he and Rep. Ocampos have become partners in a golf driving range business, among other business ventures, in Misamis Occidental,” said an Interpol insider.

After his escape from South Korea four years ago, Interpol agents upon the request of and in coordination with their South Korean counterparts, arrested Mok You and detained him at the BI detention cell in Bicutan.

However, on March 4, 2007, before he could be deported, Mok You escaped from detention after being allowed – upon his request – to undergo medical treatment with his attending physician in Mabalacat, Pampanga.

From then onward, there was no trace of Mok You until he appeared in Malacañang shortly after the May 2010 national elections in the company of Ocampos.

Seen in a barong Tagalog, Mok You along with Ocampos and two lady companions posed for photographs with the President.

partner. According to him, he was also a victim of meeting and knowing those kind of people.
when you are in Politics, you cant avoid meeting a lot of people and you would not

nag-abang ang Ozamiz Golf club sa city govt para magamit nila ang golf course.

RESTAURANT chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) Philippines is banking on the economic growth of the Visayas and Mindanao for most of its expansion plans.

KFC Philippines general manager Chacha Calma-Juinio said Friday that the company will take advantage of the robust growth in regional areas, particularly those outside Metro Manila.

Juinio identified the Visayas-Mindanao area as potential growth areas because of its booming economy.

She said the company hopes to open 300 outlets nationwide in the next five years.

KFC Philippines currently has 210 outlets spread across major cities.

With the opening of new malls in Davao City, the food chain is expected to open more stores. Estimated investment for each new store is P20 million to P25 million.

Late last year, the company started renovating most of its high-volume restaurants into "a bucket-attitude stores," with a quick-response service system, refreshed store design and in-store features.

Juinio said the KFC Philippines is the first in Asia to adopt this global system, along with its counterparts in KFC France and KFC United Kingdom.

"The country is first to adopt this system, all because we are one of those countries identified with high volume of transactions," she said. A high-volume restaurant is one that caters to at least a thousand customers in a day.

"The name of the game is quickness. The faster the service, the more people will love you. We want to be known as a fast food chain that offers great food with fast service," she said.

Juinio said 40 percent of the company's total outlets will be upgraded into "bucket attitude stores" in the next three years with an estimated investment of P8 million to P12 million per outlet renovation.

Recently, the company renovated two of its major mall-based chains at SM City and Ayala Cebu.

Juinio said the major improvements are meant to provide customers a faster and more efficient service system.

The new "KFC bucket attitude store" features several zones: a fun and family zone for customers who are in no rush; a fast and friends area, where there is a mobile charging station and a photo booth, where pictures will be shown on an in-store monitor.

The store also has a speed and tasty zone, an area dedicated for on-the-go customers; and the new counter area, which separates the order and pick-up area, traditionally together in most fast food establishments. The new system, Juinio added, is meant to cut down the waiting time of customers by half.

KFC Philippines targets to renovate 24 outlets by the end of the year. It already has 15 renovated outlets, with KFC Market! Market! in Taguig City as the pilot store.

Ok ra man siguro pag naa KFC diri kay kusog man food biz diri labaw na pag established brands. Daghan ganahan nga tawo. Di man pud mahal pagkaon sa KFC and lami ang manok! Hilig biya manok ang mga taga-Ozamiz. Hahahaha. Daghan pud transients mangagi diri. Ok kaayo pag sa Gaisano sila.

Kalimot ko ingon... Pinaka-dabest ang gravy sa KFC sa tanang fastfood chains para sa ako! Gusto na ko mag-pump ug gravy na pud! Hahaha. Pwede gani rice+gravy ra ang pagkaon nimo sa KFC! Hahahaha!

dapat mag feasibility study na ang KFC dre.. kay daghan ko mga friends nga muadto lang cdo kay gimingaw or gusto lang mukaon ug KFC (though dili lang jud pud na maoy ilang tuyo).

Cebu Ferry 1 is the current ship serving Ozamiz-Iligan from/to Cebu. no more Gothong Ships in Cebu Ferries. Those ships were newly acquired by ATS now owned by NN since 2008.

the ships you mentioned were already dead since 2006 & 2011 except for Mt. Carmel which was bought by George & Peter Lines last June and renamed as GP Ferry 2.

RIP to those ships. I remember ang lourdes mao nay sige ka patyan og makina inig abot dapit sa siquijor, rule ang sayuo ma abot, carmel ang lihok kaayo. Naa pay mas daan nga nag byahe nga na sakyan nako sauna for cebu the late MV cebu city and Don benjamin.
