Title fix: Furniture, not Furnitue*
Regency Furniture Stadium is the new minor league field that's being built in Waldorf right now. It was originally scheduled to be done for this season, but it was pushed back to 2008.
Now, here's where opinion comes in. The team will be the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs. From all descriptions I've read and seen of the stadium, it's just a basic model with red rooves in tribute to the barns of the area. But doesn't the building of the stadium itself look like a crab?

Does look like a cooked crab. Who was/ is the architect or developer? I guess ground has been broken?

"Blue Crabs" is a good name for a minor league team. "Southern Maryland Blue Crabs" sounds good as well.
The Atlantic League has some nice cities in it: Lancaster, York, Bridgeport, etc, and good "suburban" cities: Camden, Newark, Islip, etc.
Apparently the Atlantic League is looking at places like Montgomery County in Maryland and maybe Loudon County in Virginia for expansion.

This is the first I've heard of this. Is this going to be a farm team of the O's or Nationals? This would be the 6th minor league team in Maryland. I would think it could impact the attendance of the Bowie Baysox.

Montgomery County has the Bethesda Big Train. I've never been to a game...I can't see the minor leagues being too popular here.

I believe that is college wood-bat league. Kind of like the Cape Cod League. It's different than minor league baseball.
