Hah, yeah...if everytime a project that claimed that actually lived up to that kind of claim the skyline would be unrecognizably different.
milquetoast August 28th, 2007, 07:05 AM Stylish enough to take my mind off those supertalls!
Fern~Fern* August 28th, 2007, 07:12 AM Let's just hope this project goes from proposed to a reality. Some hope is definitely there, it does mentioned late this year or beginning of next year to breakground!
South Park is going to have a nice Skyline if all these proposal go through!!!

I like them...
San Marino Guy July 13th, 2008, 09:06 PM Anyone know when it's supposed to break ground?
Westsidelife July 13th, 2008, 10:54 PM ^ It was originally planned to break ground in late 2007.
ArchiTennis July 14th, 2008, 12:36 AM what an ugly parking garage. no retail..no nothing. i dope it doesn't break ground like that!
Westsidelife July 14th, 2008, 12:59 AM ^ The "exposed" side of the parking structure is facing an alleyway.
milquetoast July 14th, 2008, 01:22 AM Those elevated 'exposed' parking structures are starting to remind me of cancerous growths....................................................yuch....

Looks like the Two California Plaza
lan56 October 30th, 2008, 11:40 PM Well I am glad to say this project broke ground like it said it would in late 2007!! :bash:
vidgms October 31st, 2008, 08:23 AM Sweet for this, anyone have any pictures yet?
Imperfect Ending October 31st, 2008, 08:32 AM It's still in proposal
DinoVabec October 31st, 2008, 11:55 AM It's too bad that these towers are still in "proposal" ...They look awesome...Except that parkong structure...
surfnspy October 31st, 2008, 07:37 PM They look really boring.
I think a developer would be smart to build something that looked less like an office tower conversion. Take a look at the Century. Somehow it just looks more like a place to live rather than an office tower.
JRinSoCal October 31st, 2008, 08:39 PM The tower is OK but does every highrise in LA have to include an ugly gigantic parking structure. People will never learn to walk in this city. If they must include parking, they should put it underground.
BEATSLIM October 31st, 2008, 09:34 PM "The Century" is ugly too
Westsidelife October 31st, 2008, 11:24 PM There's nothing wrong with "boring" designs. Not every project has to stand out.

Wise words, my man...I agree with you 100%...:okay:
All these parking lots in downtown could be underground parking, and on their places beatiful highrises, or maybe some supertall...
croyboy November 1st, 2008, 10:55 PM i think the tower looks awesome and it will stand out (considering the location).
the parking situation is a shame, but we'll see what happens about that.
i think the abnormally high price for parking (compared to what angelenos were used to) has helped the walking/transit situation slowly and comfortably. underground parking or the center of the lot between residential/office/retail structures is the way to go.
