View Full Version : Herzog&deMeuron Aalto hotel to open in 2001?

An Alvar Aalto design hotel is being planned in central Helsinki (Katajanokka) beside the sea. The project should be ready by 2010. The planned architects are famed Swiss architecture firm, Herzog&deMeuron.

This thread fits better in the Projects & Construction section. ;)

But the project sounds great especially with Herzog & deMeuron as architect. Do you have any renderings of the planned hotel?

What's the concept? Will there be some kind of Aaltoo expo? Maybe the idea is to make the interiors in his spirit with his furniture etc?
