The main concept has been carried out by creating a form of office building which reflects Woqod's logo, so from all directions you imagine the logo with smooth and unique form which will be a landmark for Woqod as major Qatari company. The building form reflects one of Woqod logo leafs while the two main canopies reflect the remaining part of the logo.

Qatar Fuel signs Italian firm for tower construction

DOHA: Qatar Fuel (Woqod) and the Italian company Romatre Project SRL for Architecture and Civil Engineering have signed a contract for engineering consultancy and site supervision of Woqod’s Tower at the West Bay.
Romatre Project will be in charge of preparing a comprehensive design package for the construction of Woqod’s 30-storey tower, which will be completed by June 2008.
The signing ceremony took place at Woqod’s headquarters recently.

Woqod’s vice-chairman and managing director Mohamed Khalifa Turki al-Sobai and Romatre’s managing director Ibrahim Munjed signed the deal. A Woqod release here yesterday said Romatre would prepare the complete tender documents for the tower that would have besides the 30 floors, three basements for car parking and a mezzanine level.
“With Woqod’s logo visible on all sides of the building, the tower is expected to establish the company’s rightful place in Doha’s modern skyline,” it said.
The DSM-listed Woqod exclusively deals with the marketing and sale of all petroleum products including LPG.
Woqod has completely taken over QP’s fuel distribution arm - the now defunct Nodco.
Second Deputy Premier HE Abdullah bin Hamad al-Attiyah, also Woqod chairman, told Gulf Times last year the company would set up new petrol stations across Qatar as the company held the rights for establishment of all new gas filling outlets in the state.
Woqod, he said, would also set up a LPG bottling plant in Qatar. It would also be setting up a $200mn bunkering unit at Ras Laffan to meet the requirements of ships calling on RL Port.

yes very very very modren i love this tower but i wish we have more petrol stations of thouse becuse they are also very modren and clean and yesterday i saw the first and last one in doha it had a resturant a transparent garage and every thing else like the ones in uae

I think Qatar Tower is the old render for Barwa Tower since the two are remarkably similar and they are on the same location. Also, its almost the same height as Al-Fardan Towers so it will fit in perfectly in the area.

But, here is a map of where I think the location is. Its the only available empty land IN the southern side of City Center.

BTW, This is Al-Faisaliah Tower in Riyadh, which looks a lot like this tower.

Woqood seems to have the best design sense amongst all the Qatari companies. Great Logo, Great Gas Stations and now this amazing Tower.

I think cause it matches Wooqod's latest portfolio design. Its more practical to build and has a higher rentable office space than the second design. It makes sense to choose the first one.

I was suprised to see the progress on this tower just now by mistake! IT looks to be progressing very fast--its supposed to be as tall as the Q-tel building by the Four Seasons.

AND Al-Faisal tower (next to intercont hotel) will be covered by huge screen if i am not mistaken and if they do it will really looks AMAZING

I wouldn't say Doha bank lighting is good.. it spoils the whole west bay luk.. It spoils the class of the other building lightings.. Look at all the pics..
