c0kelitr0 February 25th, 2007, 11:28 AM saan po dyan yung The Peak?
queetz@home February 25th, 2007, 11:31 AM ^^ The blue building.
c0kelitr0 February 25th, 2007, 11:36 AM oic, that one with the hideous antenna :D
kevinb February 25th, 2007, 11:38 AM
Sinjin P. February 25th, 2007, 11:42 AM Yeah, there's also an illusion with the glass, parang ang narrow ng building at transparent ang glass that you'll think you're seeing the other side of the sky
thomasian February 25th, 2007, 11:46 AM ^^ Transparent?
Sinjin P. February 25th, 2007, 12:54 PM ^ Yeah, that's why I referred to it as an illusion
FrancisXavier February 25th, 2007, 05:18 PM that building is ugly.. especially with those satelite dishes on top..
ryanr February 25th, 2007, 06:18 PM ^ indeed..it is the most hated building in Makati.:D
FrancisXavier February 25th, 2007, 06:23 PM plus the firewalls.. hope those buildings with firewalls get replaced with new ones.
diz February 25th, 2007, 11:51 PM @Sinjin: Oo nga noh! Parang sekeleton na pinitura lang!
IsaRic February 26th, 2007, 01:47 AM they should really replace this... wonder how they can demolish such a tall building
diz February 26th, 2007, 04:07 AM ^^ They can't even demolish the Jaka tower. Do you think they'll demolish one that is being used?
Tahimek February 26th, 2007, 04:35 AM ^^ They can't even demolish the Jaka tower. Do you think they'll demolish one that is being used?In that case, they should at least renovate it to look better...somehow.
queetz@home February 26th, 2007, 04:56 AM You know guys the building isn't that bad! And it used to be the third tallest building in the country when completed.
I still remember its cool CGI commercials back in the early 90s and has a catchy slogan, "The Power of Intelligence at its Peak!". This was because The Peak was one of the early "intelligent" buildings back then (along with 6750 Ayala Ave and Rufino Pacific Tower). Even I once had a dream to live and work there since it is a mixed used building where you can theoretically live and work without living the premises.
I think the colour scheme is the one that makes it look crappy but it can always be repainted. The communication tower does add to its character and I couldn't imagine The Peak without it. But overall, the building itself is pretty decent and if I can afford and have the opportunity to acquire both a residential and an office condo there, I'd go for it....
thomasian February 26th, 2007, 06:17 AM ^^ Transparent?^ Yeah, that's why I referred to it as an illusion
If it's transparent, light passes through it (not reflected), and we should be seeing the other side of the sky, not a reflection of the sky as what I can see right now.
Sinjin P. February 26th, 2007, 06:21 AM ^ Yup and it looks like we're seeing the other side of the sky ;)
@Sinjin: Oo nga noh! Parang sekeleton na pinitura lang!
tyronne February 26th, 2007, 09:59 PM Parang ako ang nahihirapan. Parang masyadong malaki yung "hair piece" nya in relation sa "katawan" nya
great184 February 27th, 2007, 03:48 AM Its the ugliest in makati but i can't imagine makati without it
_zner_ February 27th, 2007, 11:06 AM i thought its comparable with The Peak of Jakarta... i was wrong. eww.
ryanr February 27th, 2007, 07:06 PM ^ to be fair, its is about a decade older than Jakarta's The Peak.
whyte March 1st, 2007, 06:29 AM  its definitely one of the ugliest
-TC- March 1st, 2007, 03:34 PM I agree that the color scheme (blue) is hideous. I also agree that the television tower (owned by UHF channel 27; remember that this building was one of the tallest in the area when it was built) makes it look bad too. On the good side, this building is advanced and "intelligent" as @queetz mentioned. Also note that The Peak Condominium is a mixed use residential-office tower where the condo units are located at the lower half and office units at the higher floors. Oh well, I do miss the parties at the poolside where we had a great view of the Makati skyline (esp the all glass Rufino Tower).
allan_dude March 2nd, 2007, 06:52 PM Maganda lang ito sa gabi. Sobrang bright ng ilaw sa may antenna. Buti nalang may pakinabang ito sa skyline pag madilim na.
whyte March 8th, 2007, 03:42 AM my simple contribution

tigidig14 March 8th, 2007, 03:52 AM @allan dude: what do you have to do? now
IsaRic March 8th, 2007, 05:06 AM if it wasnt blue, i wouldnt hate it as much
whyte March 16th, 2007, 09:42 AM ^
ugly shade of blue pa
Insanedriver March 16th, 2007, 10:10 AM eeewww... I hate it
whats a firewall anyway?
shyaman March 16th, 2007, 12:06 PM ^^ The developer must have been anticipating that another tall building will rise beside it. Sagad kasi sa property line yung dalawang opposite sides kaya it will be useless nga naman to have windows once a building of the same height or higher will be built beside it na maaring maitayong sagad din sa property line. The downside of it, it really looks bad pero once may katabing building na ito, di na mahalata ang kapangitan.
queetz@home March 16th, 2007, 12:36 PM ^^ Yeah....plus firewalls in tall buildings are more prevalant in the Makati CBD than anywhere else in Metro Manila for obvious reasons (high land prices). It, unfortunately, is something that is pretty much a norm, even for new projects (i.e. Grand Soho).
Insanedriver March 18th, 2007, 03:50 PM anu ba ung firewall????
redu23 March 18th, 2007, 03:51 PM maganda naman siya sa gabi eh
Sinjin P. March 19th, 2007, 05:50 AM ^ Do you have any night shot of it?
pau_p1 March 19th, 2007, 07:20 AM anu ba ung firewall????
un yung flat side na pader ng isang structure.. yung sa mga bahay o building...
Sinjin P. March 19th, 2007, 07:21 AM my simple contribution
http://i15.tinypic.com/44jelad.jpg
I personally think this angle of the building looks better :D
Migan March 20th, 2007, 10:20 AM ^^an engineer probably designed that with no or little architect's consent. coz there's no way they'd let an inexperienced or unlicensed architect handle a project of that magnitude. and any decent architect wouldn't think of putting up a firewall all the way up that way... or so i think :P) i'd color it gray or red at the very least. or put graffiti. imagine a huge painting of a mountain peak :)
anu ba ung firewall????it's a fire resistive wall which helps contain/restrict/delay fire for as long as it was designed to withstand. when you opt to build your structure to the very extent of your lot's property line, you are required to put up a firewall as a fire preventive measure incase of an accident.
whyte April 12th, 2007, 04:46 AM ^ Do you have any night shot of it?
actually not a good nightshot pero it shows how bright the top is :D

Askal82 April 13th, 2007, 12:54 PM Its the ugliest in makati but i can't imagine makati without it
It is ugly. I could imagine my shoeboxes painted in this color. I can imagine makati without it.
Insanedriver April 13th, 2007, 08:36 PM A short poetry i made for the peak...
In the day
shall thee stand bold?
And ruin
thy majesty's mold?
But
In the night
may you stand bold
and accord
thy majesty's mold
 im kinda crazy today...
renell April 22nd, 2007, 04:23 PM thank god that antenna is there because for the sake of the anorexic blue building it goes "hey stop looking at the blue fugly building because i'm a distraction and I want some attention"
WawaY[625] September 6th, 2007, 05:28 AM oo nga maganda siya sa gabi dahil halos invisible sya.
hingpit1984 January 3rd, 2009, 11:03 PM The fugliest building in Makati CBD. But when viewed from the plane, the building is very distinctive due to its blue color.
taipan101 March 10th, 2009, 10:09 PM If this building is fugly wait till you see the buildings here in Abu Dhabi weird and a lot of irrelevant details. No ample parking and like a matrix. It looks like they're made from one same mold. Even the newly built buildings here I'm so aghast on how it was designed. So I'll shed some light on this building. For me change the paint and I guess it would look better.
wise_zech September 10th, 2009, 02:11 PM oo nga maganda siya sa gabi dahil halos invisible sya.
8/10 kasi sabi nya invisible daw...
Jan Del Castillo January 29th, 2010, 09:39 PM 7. Regards.
c6josh February 2nd, 2010, 06:51 AM voted 6/10 doesn't look like one.
Jake_noypi February 6th, 2010, 07:51 AM Cant imagine MAKATI without this one. At night, this is one of the nice looking buildings because of the lights on it's antenna.
OtAkAw February 7th, 2010, 05:01 AM Very ugly building! 3!
darknyt1 February 7th, 2010, 10:19 AM Did I read somewhere in a thread they called it "The Freak". We don't need to be harsh but surely it deserve its place to be the bottom among Makati buildings.
Heroico February 11th, 2010, 08:18 PM 8/10
Henz February 12th, 2010, 02:11 PM not ugly... its a decent building anyway.. i will rate this at 7/10.
Jarenz February 14th, 2010, 04:12 PM 6/10
henry hill March 23rd, 2010, 10:05 PM 8/10

crossboneka June 24th, 2010, 09:35 PM this should be leveled to the ground for humanity's sake.
yudibali2008 July 14th, 2011, 02:28 PM 8/10
skylinefan July 19th, 2011, 08:08 PM 4/10
paradyto August 8th, 2011, 08:10 AM 7.5/10
Gr33nArch3r August 8th, 2011, 09:32 PM 4/10. Are these condos or offices? Is that the cellsite tower on top? If it is, health hazard yan sa tenants ng building...
tita01 March 5th, 2012, 11:00 AM worst ever building sa makati cbd sana mademolish na sya kasi masyado na syang old at palitan ng bago
