Yeah San Diego is almost PERFECT city to live in. If San Diego is cheap place to live... For sure San Diego would become the nation's largest city after NYC and beats LA!

I love da shots bra!! Looking hella bomb. Notice how you can see the islands in Mexico and the giant hill in Northern Tijuana if you look closely. Like I always say, Tijuana: The 3rd world San Francisco!! (Rolling hills carpeted in homes baby).....

Had a great time when I was there. Downtown seems to be booming. How many new buildings are under construction? SD really has a nice city feel to it but it is very laid back too which I liked. I think it seemed more laid back than San Francisco and definitely more laid back than Los Angeles. I thought it was almost perfect however it is so damn expensive to buy a place...yikes
Liked the different neighbourhoods like Hillcrest, Little Italy and the new ballpark neighbourhood. Would love to see more pics of that fine city.

yea, the only bad thing about SD, living cost, yet the population is expected to increase another 100,000 within the next 5 years

numbers for you:
122 completed
23 proposed
21 approved
18 under construction

^^according to emporis

^^ I'm not surprised with San Diego's growth. San Diego is an expensive place to live but still attracting thousands and thousands of people anyway. I wonder how did they manage it...

its pretty much the same, some minor development, mostly commercial, they put a chick-fil-a in the sports arena parking lot, but its still a fun area

humm, I would grow my career down there if not for the 10% state income tax. But, there is nothing I can do about such, so I guess I will just have to visit every once and a while. OH and this city is by far the best place to live in Calif. (outside SF city, if that suits personal taste)

Really? When I lived there... That neighborhoold just got started to change from low income housing into upscale neighborhood like tearing small houses down and replaced with huge houses. My old house was one of few huge houses at my time. I don't know what it looks like now... My old friends who still living there by now told me that Point Loma looks different now than my time. I need come back and check it out.

Chick-Fil-A? You're lucky! I love that place and I tried it last November in Houston, Texas! Its delicious!

Anyway, San Diego still has old sport arena that still doing Kobys swap meeting every weekend?

Yeah I lived in San Diego from 1989 to 1994. I was really young and surprised I remember alot about San Diego. My parents loved Kobys ALOT! We used to go there every weekend to buy nice stuff for our house and family/friends.

Crazy about Cities: The Naval Training Center in Point Loma that was shuttered has now been converted to residential and commercial use. I'm guessing about 400 townhomes/duplexes were built there for military families and private citizens. Maybe more I don't know the exact number. The whole developement is called "Liberty Station" google it and it will tell you about all the new commercial stuff that is coming online.

RGV: The weather in summer is always pretty mild. It definitley won't rain but it is often cloudy during the summer due to a "marine layer" which is low clouds that come in off the ocean due to prevailing wind patterns from the South. This happens in coastal deserts in the Western Hemishpere, I've actually found out that Lima Peru gets a marine layer condition a lot! Ever noticed in photo threads on Lima that it is always sunny with lots of haze or overcast.

Anyway you should get atleast a couple of sunny days. I recommend not coming in May or June because they can be very cloudy. This past summer it was very sunny, probably the sunniest summer I can remember at the coast.

Great shots matey!

I stayed in Humphreys Half Moon Inn when I visited the city a couple of years back - what a fantastic holiday I had!

The view of Downtown SD from Shelter Island is awesome, especially at night - you got any shots of the city lights?

WOW! Sounds alot of changes since I left Point Loma. I googled for it. I only found one rendering of this redevelopment. It look very San Diego! (of course it is in positive way! )
