Magnificent skyline for a city of this size! Hope to see a second even higher row of buildings behind the seaside boulevard in future.

Nice skyline for such a small place.. a big achievement yes.. and still some news things will be build as well! This has got to be a 9.5 for me... as well because I really like the way it is build up!

Why haven't I been here yet????? Fantastic skyline for a city I never knew had something like this, and especially considering its size. I can't award too much in terms of ratings points, as the skyline is a bit thin, not yet that tall. But what is there is dense, is well defined and has some nice buildings too. Looks like I know where I'm going on my next free day or two.....

I've made these pics myself, they were made from a boat which was passing the Flushing coast. :)

I'll have to make some new pictures soon because these photo's are of rather poor quality, also because of the resizing. Got a new cam now, so new opportunities; I'll keep you posted

You can see this city from the Belgium coast

The boulevard in conection with the beautiful beaches is amazing.Flusing had one of the most beautiful boulevards of Europa, definitely. I'll try to shoot some pics soon!

Vlissingen has a big dock which is going to be redevelopped with some highrise. A ship-yard has been moved to the new port 10 km outside of the city. The space it took from the city over a period of about 100 years is given back to the city and gives the city center some nice opportunities...

But, in ratio with the city's size, population and everything, 9/10

We visited both cities in 2004. In Vlissingen I only like the beautiful Sardijntower. I would give a 9,5/10 for this tower. (the modern Dutch skyscrapers are mostly very elegant and colourful. Excellent architects in your country!) But the rest of the skyline is (not yet) impressive. So I give it a 7/10.
Neighbour Middelburg is much more interesting and a very lovely town to visit and stay. I would give the historical skyline a 9/10.

too bad they made a wall of buildings, what gives me the feeling like being in belgium or scheveningen. Sardijntower is ok, but the overall look i just don't like. 6/10

Impressive from the waterside: 'Boom, here I am', but than it stops. Anyway, the centre of this town is very sociable and it's a visit more than worth.

I really like the beach and the boulevard over there with te passing seeships at no-distance! The Sardijntoren is great, but I don't like every highrise so much. Some of them look really ugly and cheap. Bare concrete and that kind of stuff. There are a lot of low small houses with a nice architecture! I visit the place with much love. :)
