it used to be that tektite bragged about being near to shang, mega and galle, but now it is shang, mega, and galle flaunting that they are proximal to this!
perhaps only ADB headquarters has a stronger clout, and more international flavor, than this, in the entire archipelago.

I believe RCBC is now the largest office complex in the country.

That is the one thing I really dislike about the Ayalas! Just a bunch of egotistical Spanish jerks who think they are so damn superior than anybody else, hence have the sense of entitlement that only they must have a stock exchange or financial district. IMO, their current projects are really nothing special, quite boring and yet they inflate the prices just because of their silly brand. That is why back in 1992, I found the Ortigas-Ayala ad wars regarding the ideal location of the PSE in the newspapers quite invigorating, the ultimate David vs Goliath story! And I personally just love to cheer the under dog... :yes:

Yes, the ADB has a stronger clout than any Philippine corporation in the archipelago but nonetheless, even among Philippine Corporations, none has more stronger clout than the San Miguel Corporation (which alone constitute 4% of our entire GDP). And of course, both of them are indeed based in Ortigas! :D

^^ oh, i forgot all about san miguel being in ortigas too.
strange why the ayalas insisted in building a challenger(to tektite) in the already crowded makati back in 1990's when they already had this vast tract of land right by san miguel avenue in ortigas.

being nearer to edsa and megamall than tektite, the san miguel lot would have been a better choice than either tektite or the location of ayala tower in makati.

also, is san miguel still the biggest corporation in the phil?
i thought i saw henry sy recently being appraised as 4B$, while ayala only at 2B$
and lastly, does SM have its headquarters too? and if so, where is it located?
and might as well ask where banco de oro's HQ is located..

Raf, SM's HQs are at the reclaimed land where SM Mall of Asia is. They have offices there but not really hi-rise. I believe they also house BDO corporate HQs.

RCBC might be the largest office complex in the Philippines, but does it have the largest available floorplans? For trading, isn't it important to have the most total floor area? I wonder if either Tektite or RCBC can boast this.

The overall look of Tektite might be a little dated by now-- very late-80s/early-90s post-modern, but it's still a really clean and modern looking office center.

Tektite Towers maybe on fire right now. I tried to go there today for some business and they wouldn't let us in the premises. Traffic was terrible. One of the traffic enforcers said its a fire drill but I saw smoke coming out of the 4th or 5th floor of the East Tower. No news but I did see some emergency vehicles coming by... :eek:

The Octagon (also in white and with blue glass windows) blends well with the Tektite twins.

Tektite, For me, is a classic building on ortigas. It's boxy and simple yet elegant. :D

BDO's corp. HQ used to be in Ortigas, the Benguet Center (That nice little building beside the podium) but after the merger with equitable bank they now moved to Makati, where the former HQ of equitable was.

^^ If the smoke you saw was a white smoke, it's just a fire drill... but if it's a black/grey smoke, then it's really from actual fire... most fire drills are using emergency vehicles and firetrucks. :cheers:

familiar shape and design here in middle east.also in indonesia,the ziggurat type concrete structure is of typical middle eastern origin.7/10

I don't like its boxy design but for an office it think it serves its function. We designed an office of one of the tenants and its decent inside, typical office look.
