alsen April 28th, 2007, 10:19 AM Nice to see this house get build ^^
Epi April 28th, 2007, 08:43 PM Cool pics! Do people in Japan just not have basements or is it this house? And if they don't, is it because of earthquakes?
Basements are wonderful because they add so much needed storage space, or can even be a new floor.
Grams April 28th, 2007, 10:21 PM Cool pics! Do people in Japan just not have basements or is it this house? And if they don't, is it because of earthquakes?
Basements are wonderful because they add so much needed storage space, or can even be a new floor.
Instead, we have strage spaces under the ground floor. The reason we don't have a basement, Japan is one of the rainy countries having moisture and
messy temprature, so it must build with higher level of constraction technology. Next, financial problems make difficult. It costs a lot with tax.
Some have if they own huge space and enough money, and plan to add it. Of course, your point of some disastars make fear and people not
to stay there for a long time are right, too.
I can tell you one thing. Japanese have somewhat kind of talent to make compact anything. We don't need it so much.:D
Top Gear May 1st, 2007, 06:20 PM Wow, I love the house and how it got built so fast and efficiently. Interesting to see people do some kind of shinto ceremony before the foundation was laid down.
First time i've seen a set of glass door opening to the street with a shutter (for security i guess). Are they going to build a deck of somekind right against the street?
I'd love to live here, especially since there are two huge vending machine right across the street! :booze:
Top Gear May 4th, 2007, 08:05 PM wow i found the same pictures here:

castermaild55 May 5th, 2007, 04:33 AM that site is very easy and convenient to upload the pics from my PC and link its url(to show my pics) because that is a Phot forum.
i assume caster51 and castermaild55 are same person?
it is your concern here?
Top Gear May 5th, 2007, 05:48 AM it is your concern here?
Not sure what you mean, I frequent that forum as well and was just surprised to see that someone from here does too.
Wouldn't you say the automatic translation they have is amazing? I don't know about the korean to japanese translation but i can understand
most of the japanese posts on there.

I think this house is an old generation's house because there are some traditional Tatami's room.

castermaild55 May 6th, 2008, 11:52 AM Japanese tradtional house constraction with old way.
I think this type of house is so chic and expensive though it is not luxury.

flymordecai May 11th, 2008, 09:04 AM Wow, that renovation of an old Japanese house is very well done! Looks like an entirely new house built in the old style.
BTW, what is EnjoyJapan? I was reading it and it seems to be for Korean people living in Japan?
