Thanks to the generous offering of the penthouse owner in the other thread, I managed to get up there for a while to take some pics.

Enjoy!

Thanks :-)

The owner is going to hold a BBQ once his renovations are complete, but if you want to visit, you could let him know in advance, as mentioned in the other thread.

The penthouse is featured here:

Yeah ugly building but great views indeed.

Infact I will probably get an apartment in there so I don't have to see this ugly building in any of my views. :D

you know, the "inner" part of pearlbank looks very nice with it's cream colouring and staircases.

and the views are really wonderful. how long can it last before it falls to an en-bloc?

I went up there a few years ago and found that standing at the frightfully exposed staircases on a high floor can make your hair stand ....

That's the fun part of the architecture:lol:

It's the kind of stuff that gives you the 'am I really here?' kind of feeling...

^^

on my first trip up there 3 years ago the open staircases felt very intimidating, but the fear-factor is much less the 2nd time round. The exposed staircase landings on Lincoln Modern felt worse though.

More shots:

Looking down Pearl's Hill with the Landmark Tower. Its now a park and I think there used to be a reservoir up there.

Great shots as always Raffles, how on earth did you get up there? Do you know people living there or did you just avoid the security guards?

Maybe there was a fortress there before. I read that the British considered Fort Canning Hill & Pearl's Hill for city defences in olden times.
