إيقاف إنشاء المدن الاقتصادية حتى انتهاء المراحل الأولية من مشاريع المدن الست

كشف لـ «المدينة» فهد الرشيد، وكيل محافظ الهيئة العامة للاستثمار، عن تلقي الهيئة عشرات الطلبات لإنشاء مدن اقتصادية في المملكة، موضحاً أن الطاقة الاستيعابية في البلاد، خلال المرحلة الحالية، لا تستوعب أكثر من المدن الست الاقتصادية المُعلن عنها .. وكان الدكتور الرشيد يرد على أنباء أكدتها مصادر مطلعة لـ «المدينة» حول تلقي الهيئة العامة للاستثمار أكثر من 70 طلباً لإنشاء مدن اقتصادية في المملكة، مشيراً إلى وجود تشكك من عدم جدية بعضها.وأضاف الرشيد: الهيئة تركز على عاملين رئيسيين عند دراسة طلبات الراغبين في إنشاء المدن، وهما: الفكرة المتميزة، وكذلك توفر القدرة التنفيذية في إنشاء المشروع. وكانت حكومة المملكة أقرت، في خطتها الخمسية التنموية الأخيرة، ضخ أكثر من 200 مليار ريال سعودي كاستثمارات في المناطق الاقتصادية خلال العشر سنوات القادمة، بهدف تسريع عجلة النمو الاقتصادي في المناطق الأقل نمواً في البلاد ضمن نطاق الخطة المعروفة باسم «التنمية المتوازنة».وأعلن، في أوقات سابقة، عن إنشاء ست مدن اقتصادية في كل من مدن رابغ، وحائل، والمدينة المنورة، وجازان، بالإضافة إلى مدينتين أعلن عنهم مؤخراً في المنطقة الشرقية، وتبوك.وأوضح الرشيد أن جهات استثمارية خارجية كثفت من طلبات إنشاء مدن اقتصادية جديدة في المملكة، بالتشارك مع مستثمرين محليين، مبيناً أن الهيئة، في المستقبل، ستبدأ في دراسة وإقرار مدن جديدة.
