Cool idea Jan. keeps us on our toes, im always now on lookout for that "award winning shot" .

Most of my work comes from by old Cam going back to Nov 2000,
I would like to think it derverf some greate shots it done so much for me ! Got A NEw Sony Now DSC-P8-3.2 3X. Now I am come acrross a photo that has intrest to enough peopel.

CULWULLA: Was right there are places around where we hsould be thining that. AS we can learn a lot form other photos there ?

Yes I know, As for me I have to get from Central to Wynard to get my transfer, I use this time the walk I take photos, snapping away, for the short walk. Walking along the streess flollowing the shadows above for a protait of towers to lude over a heaps. Contrast to life below there is so much visal! So much to caputer.
AS dosth the thought that I have may have missed something in the past core, an element of a place at the given angle or light and that, That was worth worth Note and take a photo.
I get to that spot and crouch dwon untill Titl I am sure that it there I can see C.L.I.C.K

What I mean to say before .. . .. . um..u,m///

IF taking photos of towers here is your aim, Then there are lessons to be learned here. Looking at all these photos I like some, I love others, I ask is tower, I ask you call that a tower (LOL), I ask that the tower of the Sky ?

After posting and reviewing, I have made better choices and all ready tired tips people have given me. And I will improve to do better. And be more proud of my photos. ( but am still very proud at this stage)

Still no matter when talking photo of tower (mabey) think if this
and the lesson to make us all better photograhers
:)
So Long winded Thanks again

(CHANCE: of couse this theroy dose not help in 90% were luck factors in )
OH Well

Congratulations szehoong, that's a wonderful photo!

Jan, this is a great idea. Once I get my digicam back tomorrow I'm going to really try and find a good shot from my city to enter into the contest. Normally I don't take that many shots that are actually of any photographic merit, but this contest is encouraging me to test my skills. :okay:

What about making a gallery with all the weekly winners? After one or two years that would be the best skyscraper gallery on the web. There are many skyscraper galleries on the web, but none of them has only high quality photos. Of course we need the permission of every winner to publish his photo.

Thank You everyone! :D

I never thought that my digital shot would actually win anything ....hehhe :D

When I bought my digital camera, I have originally thought that it would just compliment my SLR and for taking some 'not-so-important-pictures'. Well the pictures turned out nice too and I am happy that it did! :)

BTW I had nicer shots on my SLR but my scanner went 'kaput' a few months ago. Some of the shots I posted for the past 2 weeks are taken using my old trusty Yashica 108 SLR camera. I have since upgraded to a Canon EOS 5 3 years ago. ;)
