I'll have to see this one when it's actually finished (Or a detailed rendering) to make a judgment on this one. I've seen construction pics a while back and the facade looked really bizarre - reminded me of Tetris, lol. I wonder how it's really going to look when it's done.

Way, way too much a phallic reference for my taste. Looks EXACTLY like a dildo. I've seen other renderings and it appears to have a nice facade, but the massing just ruins it.

Please, don't compare to the Swiss Re. I think that AGBAR Tower is quite different

You must see it when is finished. Jean Nouvel said that the façade will be incredible.

And the Tower is 142 m tall, not 120.

But for me this tower wich was created on a pixel composition is a new masterpiece.

Interesting use of different coloured panels to give a mottled or spotted appearance - but I don't like the treatment on the top. I much prefer the Swiss Re. 7/10

I've seen the zone and the building evolute since early 2001. It's a building that make the people who walks around to look up and admire it. Without doubt it has become a new modern Landmark. Soon, more masterpieces will convert this zone in a place worth to visit if you are on holiday in Barcelona.

5/10. Its tall but tacky and pretty repulsive. The facade looks eeeeeeevil for such a new building. It also looks unfinished in some places.

Swiss RE is so much better, but I do like the pixel effect and actually think it looks good.

I'm not sure about this building. It''s very modern and it is tricky, but the shape is not good at all, i like the colours specially at night. It's a tower which can be hated by many persons, but also loved by others. I give it a 8!

Bueno gracias a todos por vuestra ayuda ya que sin ella no podría poner mis fotos, lo cierto es que he luchado como un león para conseguir trabajar ya en tres ocasiones en esta maravillosa torre y probablemente repita la experiencia en un futuro, sé que soy muy afortunado y para nada pretendo poneros los dientes largos, pero es tanta la ilusión que quiero compartirla con alguien que esté tan loco como yó.
La primera imagen es la Torre Agbar vista desde el terrado de mi trabajo habitual, para mí es una imagen del futuro que ¡Ay quien me lo iba a decir!, que tuvieramos esta escena en Barcelona...
La siguiente imagen esta hecha desde la cúpula, el ojo esta desplazado justo perpendicular al eje central que no esta en el centro.
Fijaos en la siguiente , se trata de la cafetería, imaginaos tomando un café con la sagrada familia al fondo, no es para estar orgulloso?.
Finalmente un imagen de los botones de acceso a los ascensores exteriores, fijaos que solo llegan hasta la planta 24 debido a la curvatura de la fachada, aunque veais un detector de tarjetas, el acceso a estos 6 ascensores no requieren identificación.

I've seen this one in person under construction and it really looks stunning.
It really blends in with the athmosfere of Barcelona and the Spanish mentality.

El escalador de rascacielos conocido por 'Spiderman' sube a la cumbre de la Torre Agbar de Barcelona

EUROPA PRESS

Poco antes de las 10 horas, el escalador, que ha trepado por la fachada de varios rascacielos del mundo sin permiso, empezó a subir por el cristal de la conocida torre de la plaza de les Glòries sin autorización y sin ningún sistema de sujeción.

Los Mossos d'Esquadra fueron avisados sobre las 9.46 horas y en unos 20 minutos el individuo ya había alcanzado el punto más alto de la torre, a 140 metros del suelo. La Policía catalana, junto a la Guardia Urbana y los Bomberos de Barcelona, establecieron un cordón de protección alrededor de la entrada del edificio para prevenir posibles accidentes.

Al llegar arriba, decidió volver a bajar por la fachada, llegando al suelo sobre las 10.35 horas. Una vez abajo, fue atendido por una ambulancia por el cansancio e identificado por los Mossos d'Esquadra.

Alain Robert tocó el suelo sobre las 11.00 horas, agotado pero satisfecho por el éxito de su acción, que ha llevado a cabo "a favor de la paz en el Líbano", según ha comentado.

El Grupo Agbar, compañía propietaria del edificio, ha informado de que ha presentado una denuncia contra Alain Robert, que tras ser identificado ha sido trasladado a la comisaría de los Mossos d'Esquadra y, después de prestar declaración, ha quedado en libertad.

i´m liking this dildo everyday more, when i saw the render, then being built etc. i was terrified by how will it mingle with the characteristic architecture in barcelona, but seems like an icon now

they should build more adjacent buildings around agbar.

the christmas and new year idea is one of the best ones around the world.

Do NOT worry, they use leds to light the tower, which consume 75% less than conventional lights!

then it is really nice tower, i like the desing, and how the blue and red mix in the middle


i support new developments and i like skyscrapers, but we cant forgtet the lack of energy and what it does to the environment to not be responsable

7/10...there are really nice effects created with lights(I've seen the images of san silvester), but I don't really like it...nobody notice that seems like a big...?? ^^

then is also set as a cathedral in the desert...

^^That area is being refurbished and there are more towers under construction in the same zone.
