2nd in Holland for me. Too much briks are used in this cities towers, but from a distance it looks cool. 7,5/10

Although a small one.. it is well build up and with the new projects it will be quite stunning! An 8!

I miss the "Beatrixkwartier" cluster (who'se got pics). Knowing The Hague has some nice projects to come I won't give too high (for higher grades in future). 7/10

Yep, Den Haag really blew me away when I first visited it in 2002. Has the very nice small but tall cluster around Centraal, and then a small but up-and-coming cluster near HS, and another near Laan Van NOI. Has great beautiful buildings, but somehow needs to get more cohesion into the skyline, linking up the different clusters and getting some more height. The proposals around CS will certainly help that aim. So looking forward to the future.

Some very nice buildings, pretty decent for a European skyline but overall I give it just a 5.5..the pano on the first page might have given me an unnecessarily poor impression of the skyline.

DEN HAAG has the BEST skiline of the Netherlandsn and the BEST architecture! Ofcourse, Rotterdam has more scrapers, but they aren't as special as in The Hague. The prove that city's don't nead the highest building to have a beautifull skyline!

Den Haag has the most interesting skyline of Holland... most of the new highrises are not of the generic shoebox variety Rotterdam abounds in. Instead, they all have interesting shapes and features. I almost think Den Haag may be overdoing it...
What I also really love about Den Haag is the fact that some very famous architects have built there, or are going to do so. Cesar Pelli, Richard Meier, Rem Koolhaas... Now all Den Haag still needs is a Gehry and a Calatrava!

Within 5 years there will be a massive cluster formed around the Central Station area. At least 5 new towers will rise there, making The Hague the best clustered skyline in NL.

Superb building quality, originality and density. It's not extensive enough to rank among Europe's best, but there's tremendous protential. 7/10

I gave amsterdam 8/10 in another poll, den haag/ the hague is slightly better, so 8.5/10 :)

The hoftower is nice, but just next to it, those two high 'dutch' houses? What is that??? Disneyland?
But Holland has got some very nice skylines and they are not afraid to try something spectaculair! Sometimes it works other times it doesn't!!

You dont just tear down 2000year old districts\buildings to build a few buildings that will last for at most a hundred years,if even they make it to a 100.what ever they do in Asia i dont care but in Europe we dont just do that shit thank god.
So basicly they\we are forced to build modern stuff outside the downtown area,or in area's that where nazified,or in The hague's case mistakenly bombed by the allies ,who where supposed to bomb the nearby park but flattened an entire district.

Obviously trying to build new highrise buildings in medievel parts of european cities creates lots of NIMBY's and normal people who object,luckily.

^^ indeed, and on top of the buildings shown here (which all are between about 100 & 140 meters high), the city of The Hague ("only" some 450.000 inhabitants!) has plans to allow higher buildings than 140 meters to be built (currently the maximum height) in the near future...

Now, remember that between the 'Hoftoren' on your left (sloping roof) and the UC 'Het Strijkijzer" (which actually means 'flat iron') tower, in about three to four years 4 new towers will be visible, of 131 - 146m height. Renders of those towers are shown in earlier pages. It concerns the 'New Babylon' complex, 2 new ministerial towers and a residential tower (these are part of the "Wijnhaven" quarter project).

Incredible photos (especially the middle one), thanks for sharing. What I like so much about the hague is that there's very little filler. All the main highrises are of excellent quality and are very unique.

7/10 one or two building has excellent design I like it but the whole skyline not so much...

So beautiful. The Hague skyline is very impressive (especially for Dutch size).

Nice compact skyline. Especially the new bricktowers make the skyline very attractive. Are there any plans for more highrises in this area?
