A major police operation has been launched in the west end of Glasgow after reports of a bank robbery.
Armed police have cordoned off a number of streets following an incident at the Clydesdale Bank on Byres Road.
Officers received an alarm call at about 0940 GMT, with about six police vehicles sent to the scene.
The police helicopter joined the operation and officers then cordoned off an area of Hillhead Street and Gibson Street
There were reports that police were focusing their attention on a guest house in Hillhead Street.
No-one was believed to have been injured in the bank incident.
A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said officers were dealing with an "ongoing incident".
