What are some of the nicest beaches in the region? I haven't been to the beach in any country in the region besides Morocco and Dubai. Based on pics, Sharm El Sheikh looks nices to me. From what I've heard Turkey also has amazing beaches.

What are we including here then? Part of arab world? MENA without Iran?? what??!

Except egypt and lebanon that I can think of, none of other gulf arab countries seem to pay much attention to tourism that can result from developing beaches.

Kish Island has gorgeous beaches.. Shallow for a long way too... Great surf, wind & kite surfing as well lol...

Caspian beaches used to be very popular but the Caspian has been to industrialised.. + the current is dangerous, usually dragging people under from the beach so generally people who want to swim take a boat out and swim in the open sea as it's a lot safer lol

and agree with the Caspian Beaches, they are VERY dangerous, i lost two of my cousins due to being dragged under, and they drowned.

Well, technically speaking, you are right but in the UAE the region that lies on the Indian ocean is called the East Coast and that's how it's been named since as long as i can remember.

i heard sudan has nice beaches although i never been their.

Tunisia is promoted in almost every travel agency here as a beach destination, so I guess their beaches must be good! Morocco and Turkey are often offered as more cultural destinations, but from what I've seen and heard they have some really awesome beaches.

I'll never understand why so many tourist chose Antalya instead of the western coast? Western coast is much nicer compared to Antalya which is a mass tourism destination! So next time you visit Turkey think of my words and visit the aegean cost!

Cultural tourism brings more money that's why Tukrey promotes culture in the last years. Turkey promoted sun&beach in the last years too but enough is enough. We've already this image of mass tourism destination now we must attract peple interested in culture. The combination of both is just perfect.

I agree, that's what Spain has been doing for some time now. It's a shame that countries with such a rich culture and heritage as Turkey are only presented as sun&beach destinations.

I guess any country has good beaches. From my experience i can only talk about the Tunisian and Israeli ones. In Tunisia both the touristic and the hidden beaches are very dirty, i have photos if interested... In Israel they are quite clean, i have been to many. In Haifa, Givat Olga, some private beaches that built weave breakers or how its called, so you would be able to swim, in Netanya and couple of others. Good variety, but on the open beaches there are too many jellyfish, but at least a lot of shells too - good for the collectors like me :)

Bikes, if possible I'd like to see pictures of Tunisian beaches.
If I had to include the entire world, based on pics, Asian beaches look amazing- countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia...
But I think that besides intrinsically beautiful beaches what also counts is the atmosphere.

I will see if i have, these look like Ireland, because i took them in April, so you can imagine, the sea is still cold, only surfers go there sometimes.

No more beach photos of Israel on my comp, guess Zohar can show a lot though. I will show two photos of Tunisian beaches, first is from Hammamet, not close up, so you cannot see its dirty, but they never cleaned it, so when you came out of the water you were full of plastic and other things. The second photos shows a hidden beach of Tunis (you have to catch a train from the centrum to get here).

Well, the Tunisian beaches are world famous and like everywhere in the world some beaches can be dirty or very crowded specially during summmer.

Thank you hebrewtext for the pic, Israeli beaches looks like great places to read books or having a sunbath, but like all the mediterranean they are not consistent with waves.

yes there should be more foreign investment, but sadly due pressure and sanctions it's limited, also the beaches are seperated, women and men have seperate beaches...
