it's snowing each year, sometimes only light snow ,at some years the snow can accumulate up to 0.5 m on the ground. snow can fall even on april.

As much as I hate cold weather, I think cities (and landscapes) covered with snow are so beautiful.
Those pics of Amman look great as well.

the cold weather system effected the entire area :Lebanon,Syria,Jordan and Israel.

AMMAN -- Heavy snow fell on the Jordanian capital Thursday, forcing a closure of schools and several roads in Amman and other parts of the country.

The snow fell shortly after morning rush hour, causing traffic jams but so far there are no reports of accidents.

Schools were closed in the capital Amman as well as northern and western provinces, officials said.

A cold front accompanied by heavy rain, hail, and snow has gripped Jordan since Wednesday.

The snow-capped mountains of Southern Saudi Arabia and Yemen are wonderful also. The weather in Abha regin is particularly nice. ;)
