ok, the streets of Doha are soooooooo clean omg :) the cleanest, most picture perfect city! and the horses are beautiful...especially the shiny black ones

For arabian horse enthusiasts Qatar is THE place to be/visit!
Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bin Khaled Al Thani (owner of Al Rayyan Farm (http://www.alrayyanfarm.com)) has one of the greatest collections of straight egyptian horses in the world!
Even if you know nothing about horses, walking through his stables is like walking at a museum of the finest art. The horses on the pictures in this thread is NOTHING compared!

It was amazing to see how much Doha had changed in just a year! I could hardly find my way around anymore lol and wauw that skyline!! I thought I was in the wrong country :nuts:
Really hope to be back soon again, I already miss it!! :lol:

Actually I got connected to Qatar through the horses. I was at a horse show in Germany, and met a woman there that arranged trips to the middle east to visit stud farms and shows, so I decided to try out the trip to Qatar (phew was soo expensive for a 19 year old student with no income) since I had heard alot about the horses there, they are famous all over the world, even in Denmark (one of the stud farms here have a stallion on lease that was bred at Al Rayyan Farm).
That was in 2004, and now I have to get back at least once a year to visit all the great friends I made there, see the new foals and just enjoy being in Qatar :banana: I really love that place!

I really want to visit Qatar ( after impressive moments in Oman and UAE ) but I dont have anyone there. Hotel price in Qatar is very high.. I will definitely visit there is someone invites me to stay with him there :D
